I suspect that the idle solenoid on the side of the carby is not getting power or is faulty closing of the idle circuit as if you stopped the engine. Check mwiring for faults or replace the idle solenoid.

i don't know the cost to fix, you can drive it with a converter lock up out of overdrive but the RPM will be higher and you will lose fuel efficiency, if you drive over 60 you chance overheating.

How I can Fix P0741 Code - Toyota Corolla 2005

The code means your lockup clutch is not working. You're not going into top gear and the transmission is slipping. This burns the oil, and burns extra gas.

Change the solenoid if it's truly broken, and see if the transmission goes into lockup and clears the error code. If so you've saved a lot. But you need to change the oil, too.

Toyota corolla 2005 how do i removed the service ligth in panel . its like check engine, but diffrent.

Not sure if it's a good idea to remove that lamp. Great opportunity for damage during possibly difficult procedure. If all you want to do is reset the light, check out this Wiki. It's for a different model but at least it's a 2005 Toyota and is worth a try. http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_do_you_reset_the_maintenance_light_on_a_2005_toyota_tundra.

Corolla kicks/jolts when shifting gears.

I am trying to understand your problem. Check engine mounts. Have a driver in the car, hood open. Start car, foot on brakes, shift from park to reverse and back again. Shift through all gears, look for unusual engine movements around engine mounts area. Left foot on brakes, press gas in drive and reverse;watch for excessive engine movements. Be careful as you perform these steps. You may also want to check drive axles. Keep me updated.

Check engine ligth on P2716

There is a known issue with the 2005-2007 Corolla automatic transmission shift logic. The shift points may seem harsh, and the Check Engine light may be illuminated.

There is a technical service bulletin published (TC015-07) that will address and rectify this condition.

The diagnostic code P2716 will be stored in the computer memory. The procedure involves replacing the Engine Control Module (the computer) with an updated unit.

The repair is covered, under the factory warranty, for 96 months, or 80,000 miles, which ever comes first.

I hope that this helps you Corolla owners out.

A "FixYa" rating (4 blue diamonds) would be greatly appreciated for my assistance on your issue. Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Toyota Ed
