On the 4 cy. engine, the spark plugs are accessible from the top of your engine. There is a face plate on the top of the engine held on with four screws, pull this plate off and you'll see the plugs.

Hi Anthony......,It's either electrical OR fuel so If you're a hands on guy then do this.... Pull a spark plug lead off a spark plug OR if it's a "COIL ON A SPARK PLUG" pull that off and put a spare spark plug into that spark plug lead OR coil, Then earth that spark plug to a clean part of the motor(make sure the spark plug is touching steel)Turn motor with the key and see if the spark plug sparks.... If it sparks then you have a fuel problem....... But if no spark then you have an electrical problem.... The links below are YouTube videos showing how to fix a car that doesn't start/cranks but doesn't start, Also there's videos down the right side of the links that may help as well...................

2003 ford crown victoria shuts off when driving i try to start it up it just cranks but wont start. Already changed the fuel pump and spark plugs and that dont seem to work. Any one please Help??

You'll first need to find out if you are lacking fuel or spark to know where to go next. Do a basic test for fuel pressure with a gauge and spark at the plugs when it fails to start.

You should pull that plug out and check it's condition carefully. Also that spark plug wire may be broken internally. Try a new or different spark plug and spark plug wire first and see if that helps.

Honda Odyssey 2005; after changing new spark

Use owners manual to see if your spacing on the spark plugs are correct and the torque for each spark plug must be exact to prevent mis-firing. the owners manual will contain all the information you need to know about doing basic maintenance on the car.

start the car. let it idle. get under hood. you should have your four spark plugs starting from left to right in front of you. starting on the left is cylinder #1 and #2, next to that one, and so on....

while car is running, carefully pull the spark plug wire off the SPARKPLUG. hold the spark plug wire up to the plug and see if you can see sparks. do that procedure on all plugs. do one at a time.

which ever one seems not to be sparking right, it's probably the fuel injector on that cylinder.
hope this helps.
