I guess that depends on what seal? the header seal from the manifold will cost you a couple hundred eaily. The catalatic converter to exaust seal (or donut) 50-75 dollars.

How much should it cost to replace rear main seal gmc Yukon xl

transmission has to be pulled to get at the seal, likely a 4 hour job or so plus the seal. Depends on labor rate. Could be extra charges if exhaust bolts are corroded (can't pull trans. with exhaust in)

How to know when and how to replace the axle seals

Exhaust Gas Recirculating valve you can replace yourself with a couple hand tools. Axle seals usually don't go bad unless you wail a curb or pothole. Could be something else. after you change the EGR...get a second opinion.

1998 Ford Taurus OHV 3.0L. Just replaced both heads. One head was cracked around all three exhaust valves and the valves, seats, seals, and guides were cooked in the other head. Now replaced the car seems...

it could be a poor fuel pump not suppling enough fuel to the injectors when required,a fuel pressure test and flow test should be also could be a cat as when your accelerating you are trying to push out as much exhaust gas as possible and if the cat is plugged it causes back pressure to the point the exhaust stops flowing causing the car to fall on its face.then when you back off there isn`t as much exhaust gas to push out the exhaust system and it runs can get an exhaust back pressure test done to see if this is a problem.

How much does it cost to fix a exhaust leak?

how long is a piece of string?........depends on the leak,if its a pipe, you can use exhaust tape, which will wrap around it and seal it .If its a box then you will have to replace it........NOW with any car the exhaust pipe rusts from the INSIDE so to cure it permanently, you gonna have to replace the whole system from the cat backwards.....

1996 volvo 850 turbo smoke coming out exhaust

I assume you mean exessive smoke?
White smoke = watersteam - usually cracked cylinderhead gasket
Replace gasket
Black / dark smoke preferrably visible when accelerator is let up after acceleration = oil - usually enters the cylinders through worn valve seals.
Repclace seals (can be done without lifting cylinder head)

My toyota vienta 3VZ-FE 1996 - oil leak onto exhaust

That engine will leak oil from

- cam cover gaskets (rear one drips on the exhaust)
- camshaft end seals
- distributor shaft o-ring (appears on top of transaxle housing)
- oil filter bracket to block o-ring seal (drips on front bank exhaust)
- crankshaft nose oil seal (have done with timing belt change)
- rear main seal (expensive, leave it be)
