Question about 2000 Chrysler Town & Country

1 Answer

Does anyone out there know if the sliding doors can be adjusted? The door on the passenger side seems to be leaning down a bit. It seems to be hitting the pillar, and the top of the front passenger door. I don't think it's closing all the way. There's no warning but, I can still hear road noise.

On the very top of the inside of the sliding door on the arm should be a nut and bolt. If you losen it you can move the door in or out. Becarefull not to loosen it to much and mark your start position with a marker before changing the position of the door.

How to install side front window?

The window track should have a bolt at the bottom so the track can be moved away from the window to allow enough room to slip it in between the tracks. Also the door skin can be unbolted to gain access from the outside of the door which may make it easier.

If you use whats called a slimjim and slide it down on the far left outer side of the window you can access the accuater lever or rod for the door. Any autozone are police officer can show you exactly how to do it. It's real easy.

Passenger side sliding door opens fine, but sometimes will not close

Is the door striking the running board at the bottom of the door? Does it seem to "fall" some when you open it? If so it probably needs new door pins and bushings. It may also be that your striker on the door post has come loose and moved. Let me know. Thanks

The rear passenger side door exterior handle will not open the door and the child lock is on which will not allow the door to be opened from the interior.

hi if you get a metal coat hanger open it up and put a hook on the end slide it down between the glass and the door by the door catch you should be able to knock the child lock off so you can open the door you have to get this just right and it can be a bit tricky but it does work

We have the same problem, just opposite doors - the passenger slider will close to 80%, but the driver still functions fine. There must be an easier solution than new wiring harness/motor??

VW Polo 2001 - Electric Windows wont open from Drivers side..

I removed all 3 switches from driver and passenger door, which is really easy with a flat head screw driver. took them completely apart, very carefully, with a small screwdriver out of a christmas cracker. put them back together again and 2 switches started working, so I put 1 in the drivers side and 1 in the passengers side so now my drivers door window opens and I lean over to open the passenger door. cool, no money spent...yet ;o)
