5w-30 cold climate or 10w-40 hot climate , any quality Energy Conserving motor oil will perform well in your Caravan. If you live in an extreme climate synthetic will help you start in the very cold and offer better protection and cooling in extreme heat.

What type of motor oil should I use on my 1995 Chrysler la baron 3.0 V-6?

I have used the standard 10W-30 oil in all my vehicles throughout all seasons, and I personally prefer Quaker or Pennzoil. Buy a middle to top of the line brand. If you happen to have extreme temperature/weather variations where you live, you might want to consider a different weight of oil during those extremes. Most garage mechanics will have their opinion on what weight and brand to use under what conditions and they do a good job of explaining when different types of oil should be used. A Google search for something like "motor oil weight differences" will give you some articles to consider. Try this link: http://www.upmpg.com/tech_articles/motoroil_viscosity/

What type of oil does a 2002 jaguar x-type take? I was never given a manual.

The car takes 5w-30 semi synthetic oil. However, if you have never put synthetic oil in the car I would recommend using regular oil. I would also advise you check with your local jaguar dealer. The reason for this is if your car is not use to that kind of oil from day one it could cause seal leaks.

What motor oil weight should I be using on my 96 olds 88....we live where the winter temps can go as low as -10 F and as hot as 95F in the summer

5w 30 or 10w 30 during the winter. After an oil change... check your oil after 200-300 miles of use. Is the level the same? If so your weight is fine. If it drops, it's to light of an oil and your engine is now "drinking it" like fuel, move to a heavier weight. As far as Changing between winter and summer. Changing Oil weights is not bad for your motor so if the winter you go with 5w 30 and it works, great, shoot for the same during the summer. If it seems to "drink it" during the summer using this weight, go up to the next (10w 30)

That being said. Changing from natural oil, to synthetic, back to naturual , or vice versa... swapping back and forth between these KINDS of oil has been known to cause damage. so whatever weight you decide on, stick with one "type", natural or synthetic.

What type of motor oil should i use?

A stock 2000 Maxima engine is non-turbo and 5W30 oil is recommended by nissan. As the mileage on the engine increases, you should switch to a heavier weight oil, like 10W40.

What is engine oil type, 2001 durango 4-wheel 4.7 engine

You can use any of the following weights of motor oil: 5W30, 10W30, or 10W40. Personally, I use Mobil1 Synthetic 5W30 in my pickup. Synthetic is better for your motor (you can go 5,000 miles between oil changes with synthetic oils) but once you start using it it's better if you stay with it meaning every oil change you use synthetic oil.
