I have a 95 civic lx and was driving it and it staled and back fired out of the intake and no longer has spark but if you remove the distributor and manualy spin it it sends a pulse to the injectors

Sounds like the ignition coil has failed they do sell the coil separately if it is inside the distributor, some models have an external coil either way this would fix your problem please rate

Where is the ignition module located on 2004 honda civic lx

I searched under 'ignition module' on autozone.com and 'no parts for ignition module' turned up.
I looked under DIS or Distributorless Ignition System and found the coils are inserted in the top of the engine and this tells me that it's likely that the ECM or PCM controls the spark on these cars.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the ignition coil cover (A), disconnect the ignition coil connectors (B), then remove the ignition coils (C).
  3. Installation of the ignition coils is the reverse of the removal procedure.

I think i need to replace the ignition coil in my 1995 honda civic, only problem is i dont know how to

This is for PGM-IG ignition coil type, there is also electronic ignition igniter on the distributor type.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the distributor cap retaining screws and remove the distributor cap and seal. Slide off the leak cover.
  3. Remove the two screws that retain the BLK/YEL and WHT/BLU wires from the terminals in the distributor.
  4. Remove the screws that retain the coil and remove the coil from the distributor body. To install:
  5. Install the coil in position and tighten the screws securely.
  6. Reconnect the two leads and install the leak cover.
  7. Install the distributor cap and seal.

Ignition coil for 1993 civic

best way to test is connect to car and see if it gives spark with engine turning, because it gets ground pulse from the distributer,if pulse id not coming to ignition coil, then you need to change distributor.
