Re: 1989 Buick Regal
Roots are flashed into the PCM, (Factory Alarm) but if you can locate the main module, you can unplug the harness feeding it. but other componets may be routed thorough it also be careful. and most likely will end up unsuccessful

The most common fix is to disable the factory alarm and if you still want an alarm replace it with an aftermarket alarm. The people you buy your new alarm can disable the factory alarm or they might tell you how but they usually don't give out trade secrets.
http://newrockies.com/passkey They sell a bypass for your 95 regal factory security system.
On the left side of the site it says. PRO VATS full bypass. Thats the thing you need to bypass the factory security system.
Try disconnecting your negative battery terminal overnight, this will reset the PCM and should solve your problem. The only other way to do this is to get a new security system relay installed in the car.
it cannot be isabled trust me mine did the same but if you take it to a stereo place ask them to ground it and put in a cheap alarm system then it will never go off but you will still have a alarm system
