Faulty Brake light switch ubder the brake pedal would have been my firs as well but if you haco rear lights at all it could be either a fuse or a faulty head light switch whisch controls that.

Porsche parking brake light and convertible top

you should be able to get to the ebrake switch by the e brake lever. If you can, to get top up you can cross the two wires going to the switch together and get the top up normally with switch. If this turns the parking brake indicator on on the dash, then order yourself a new switch and replace.

2000 Porsche boxter windows work top won't go down

Good Day,
I just looked at my wiring diagram and see that a fuse from fuse Holder D, Fuse D3,it is a 30amp fuse. I would start here. I may also be a good idea to have a test light if you plan on doing your electrical repairs.

I also see that another fuse connects to your top control unit; it will be fuse B6, 15amp located in fuse Holder B.

Thanks and good luck.

Hello I have a Porsche Boxster S and the brake light will not go off? I checked the brake switch under the dash and it Seems OK, I have checked all the fuses and they are all fine. the battery is fully...

Remove the brake light switch from the pedal assembly by turning 90 degrees. Pull the plunger out until it clicks one or two times. It can take some force, but your hands are strong enough. Re-install buy putting into the lug and turning 90 degrees.

The switch is self adjusting and sometimes the brake pedal hits its hard enough for the adjuster to click back in, leaving the brake lights on all the time

Rear trunk on boxter porche

Manual release cable located behind rear bumper / tail light. Stainless cable and very hard to see, but it is there. Just remember, it is very firm to pull, so use pliers once you find it.

Check for power at the turn signal switch. White wire comes from brake switch switch into the turn signal switch. The brake light switch is working because the high mount brake light is working..right? Do the turn signals work ok? if so, then the wiring is OK. The brake signal wires that come out of the turn signal switch are dark green(right) and yellow (left).

2001 porsche boxter engine running hot

My 2000 Boxster developed a pin hole leak in the coolant reserve tank in the rear trunk. The trunk floor is actually raised, which allowed the coolant to go unnoticed, since the carpet never got wet. I would pull back the carpet on the side and see if there is coolant in the trunk area. If so, the plastic reserve tank will run you about $300 for the part. It is a bit of a pain to replace, but something the average home mechanic can do. Only real hassle was the hose clamps in the engine bay were installed before the engine, hence the engine was in the way of the screw head.
