Question about Ford Taurus
I can only think of 2 things , 1 is that your flasher relay needs changing , this usualy is under the dash in most vehicles near your legs whilst driving , this relay is usualy round shaped like a mini coke can , i would suggest replacing this first as this is the cheaper option , if not succefull it may be the indicater arm itself which would require you to remove steering wheel to remove and replace!
but the first option sounds like the cause as relay contacts may be shorting out and getting stuck , thus being the reason for working intermittantly . if both these solution fail then you may have a short in the wiring , but have faith and try the cheaper option first .
