It sounds like yourdrain hole for your ac evaporator is clogged and needs to be unclogged. This can be done by taking it to a shop and have them blow out the drain hole with a air gun. They may not even charge you if so it should not be much.

How can i fix this probelm?

when turning on the fan is this when it smokes. if so then i would say the problem is the heater core has a leak in it causing your problem. the heater core will have to be replaced.

Defrosting vent is steaming out and smells like anti freeze. would it be heater core

It sounds like it, feel the rug on the passenger side if its wet then that will confirm a heater core problem.

I hope this helps you out, if it does any positive feedback would be appreciated. Thank you.

No heat engine warm fan works on all levels directional control (defrost@floor) stuck on cold. ?temp control .

your heater core could be plugged if your anti-freeze color is a brownish colour , most likely your heater core is plugged also when you move the direction for heat control can you hear the blendoor move if you can then again your heater core may be plugged and if it is plugged flushing most likely wont fix it, if you don't hear the blendoor motor move the blendoor motor or the door may be damaged

Heater immediately fogs all windows and there is a sweet odor in the cab of 2003 Buick Rendezvous, defroster works fine, but will not clear the windows after heat is put on

Sounds like a possible heater core failure(hole in it) the smell indicates to me the coolant(anti-freeze) is leaking into the passenger compartment.
Check the carpet in front of the front passenger seat for moisture, this would confirm heater core leak.
Good luck !

The blower fan only works on settings 3-5 and right now the heat doesn't seem to be working at all. I assume I need to replace the controller for the fan problems but is the heater malfunctioning due to...

sounds like your heater core is leaking ,and possible you may need to change the resister for the bower motor ...have it tested for leaks ....look on passengers side on the floor ...look up with a trouble light once the motor has warmed up ,turn the blower motor on high ...and look under the hood and all around for leaks ....feel the rug on the floor on the passebnger side for wet ness ...good luck

Wet floor on passenger side under carpet

Wet with water or wet with anti freeze? If its water, it could be from the a/c evaporator drain stopped up, if its antifreeze its from a heater core leaking.

2004 Envoy Smell like Anti-freeze when turn on the air

probably is a small seep in the heater core. does not have to be leaking enough to find any inside the car to have a strong smell in there just a small seep that makes the heater core wet will do it.

No heat on kia Spectra(fan blows out cool air)

The thermostat would be the place to start if you are sure its not the heater core. Heater core would have tell tale signs like antifreeze mist blowing in the vents or wet carpet soaked with anti freeze on the car floor, usually tword the passenger side. If its not the core, or the thermostat when you change it, then its probably in the hvac controls, but the core and the thermostat should be checked first. Also let the car warm up and feel both of the small hoses running into the firewall to the heater to see if they are hot. If not, one might be plugged. Hope this helps, Clay
