Question about Honda Accord

Does the engine on the 90 accord have to be removed from the car to change the water pump or is there an easier way to do this? Also, does the fuel pump have a start or stop relay under the hood? Thank you.

NO, the engine does not have to be removed for water pump replacement. The water pump runs off of the timing belt,so you have to remove the timing belt.If you need instructions for this just e-mail me and i will get you through it.Yes,the fuel pump has a relay under the dash.It supplies voltage to the fuel pump and the electronic fuel injection if equipped.Hope this information helps,

1992 Honda Accord, fuel filter replacement instructions, can you send these to me, thanks

It's not the filter. But replace it anyway. I would look more toward the ignition. Crank sensor, coils, and lose of power to them. Have the codes read.

My camaro stalls when its cold and hesitates when i push the accelerator

Sounds kinda like the engine is leaning out. Is it a 1990 or a 1997? Is the check engine light on? For 1990s, an inexpensive key can be purchased at a parts store that you can plug into the ALDL (Diagnostic Port) and then count the flashes of your check engine light to read codes. I would change the fuel filter too, just because it's easy and cheap. You may want to check the fuel pressure. If it's a '90, the regulators go bad easily and is surprisingly easier than you may think. - MUCH easier that rebuilding an old-school carb! Could also be the pump- hope not! Don't let it run low on gas if you can help it. the gas in the tank acts as a coolant for the motor that drives the fuel pump. GOOD LUCK

The car will not start. I have replaced the fuel pump relay and the fuel pump, but it still will not start

Alright, when you attempt to start you car, is the engine slowly trying to turn over, if so, your battery low, and maybe needs charging and replacement and if it is a new or fully charged battery, and your fuel pump is pumping and you do get pressure at the fuel filter ( located at the engine bay/firewall area) then your ignition coil is bad. Replacing the ignition coil (which is located inside the distruburator) or the whole distruburator unitt (if cheap) will work. Had this promblem on a 90 accord.

Hi mate, i got problem, i got honda accord vtec 2001 a/c, so where is fuel filter, and how its looks, cant find, cant see.. i dont understand from that car enything, i know that is fuel filter, becase car...

Fuel Filter Removal & Installation To Remove:
  1. Remove fuel tank.
  2. Remove fuel pump/fuel gauge sending unit.
  3. Remove fuel filter from fuel pump/fuel gauge sending unit.
To Install:
  1. Install fuel filter to fuel pump/fuel gauge sending unit.
  2. Install fuel pump/fuel gauge sending unit.
  3. Install fuel tank.
---
However, I would look at ignition or tune up issues rather than simply a fuel filter.

Find out what the engine problem is by having the engine's computer scanned through the OBD-II port.

Fule pump how to install

look under rear seats or in boot floor for round inspection cover. remove screws lift cover off and disconnect wiring and fuel pipes then remove unit from top of fuel tank. fuel pump should be located at bottom of unit. MUCH EASIER WITH NEARLY EMPTY TANK OF FUEL

On a saturn 2000 ls 2.2 liter engine do i have to take off timing beit covers can i just change the water pump

No, you should only have to remove the accessory drive belt. Remember to drain your cooling system, so you all your coolant doesnt spill out when you remove your water pump. Also, it is easier to remove the water pump from the passenger wheel opening, jack you car remove the tire and the inner fender splash shield and it should make the job a lot easier. Hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions.

I need to change the water pump and im not sure how

This is a simple Job.
First you need to make sure that yoou drain your coolant system. This will make it so that when you remove your old water pump you wont spill all of the coolant. Thenn you will need to remove the accessory drive belt. The water pump should be located on the passenger side of the engine. It will be easier to access the water pump from the passenger wheel opening. You will need to jackk you car, remove the tire and inner splash sheild, this will make the job easier but if unable to use a jack, you may be able to remove it from the engine compartment. Once the drive belt is removed, remove the water pump mounting bolts and detach the water pump from the engine. If the water pump is stuck, gently tap it with a soft faced hammer to break the seal.

Hope this helps! Good Luck!

Unfortunately, u must remove the timing belt. This is why it is recommended to change the water pump when the timing belt is changed.
Here's the procedure : Disconnect neg. battery cable, remove splash shield at wheel well, (after removing wheel to help gain access, turn the engine to align timing marks and set #1 cylinder at top dead center on the COMPRESSION stroke. Once this is done, u can NOT disturb engine or u will have a fun time trying to figure out how the heck to set the timing. Drain anitfreeze, remove timing belt, remove water pump bolts (be aware that bolts may be different lengths, don't mix them up, remove water pump and O ring.
Put it back together: install new O ring and water pump, be careful Oring doesn't slip or move out of position, tighten to 9 ft lbs, install timing belt, refill antifreeze, reconnect battery cable, start car, check for leaks, bleed cooling system, replace splash shield.

i doubt you will have to change the fuel pump it should be located under the car between the tank and engine possibly more less toward the tank.
