Question about 1996 Ford Windstar
Go to the end of the driver door (just a reference point). Look under the body of the van. You will see the fuel filter (large round tubular shaped object) with a fuel inlet and outlet. you have to have a special tool (you can rent or buy at Autozone) to remove the fuel line. With the tool it is very easy. Replace with a new filter and snap your fuel lines back on. Make sure the arrow showing which way the fuel flows is pointing toward the front of the vehicle. Hope this has helped you.
