Question about 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis
If the temp gauge is reading hot, and theres poor heat then go under the hood near the firewall and locate the two heater hoses going into the firewall, they will be rubber hoses, not the metal lines. when the car is all warmed up feel each hose, they should both be hot and roughly the same temperature, if one is hot and the other luke warm or cold then the heater core is plugged up, pull the hoses off and blast it out back and forth with a garden hose.
