Had the same fault on my car, turned out to be a broken earth cable in the door umbilical harness. it was the large cable and a easy repair, but you will need to remove the door. take care with unscrewing the connector on the A post

this just happened to us, the drivers side stopped working after getting tangled up with the passenger side...it was just a case of tightening up the 13mm nuts on the wiper arm.

Hi ,, I need to know if my alarm is turned of or if the module is bad in my land rover freelander. can some one tell me where i can find it

The Haynes manual says the following:-
The central contol unit (CCU) is located in the back of the fusebox below the driver's side fascia. If a fault develops you have to use a LR delaer to use the diagnostics. The unit controls the anti-theft, windscreen wipers, courtesy lamp delay, door opening warning lamp, key-in alarm, rear foglights, light-on alarm, seat belt warning, handbrake warning, rear screen wiper, tailaget window and many others.
Section 12.20 has a whole section on the alarm. The key fob alarm handset contains a transponder which talks to a reader in the ignition switch. So the immobiliser will cut in if the ignition key and the key fob are not on the same key ring.

Indicators do not work Although al lamps light when locking Car

Hazard warning light switch fault.
The hazard light warning button in the middle of your dash is actually a relay that often fails, causing this problem. New switch required.

HAZARD LIGHTS ON BUT NOT FLASHING, INDICATORS NOT WORKING. IF REMOVE HAZARD FUSE, INDICATORS FLASH AT HIGH RATE. (INTERMITTANT FAULT)

HI,
I have the same problem - it is the relay switch attached to and behind the hazard warning triangle on the dashboard. Pull it all out (gently and replace (£60 ish). The indicators and hazard lights are on the same relay circuit. This is a well known problem for this car (amongst others - how about the wipers sticking)
