Question about 2000 Mercury Sable
Car may have a short. something in the run circuit may be drawing extra current. With car running, try pulling fuses until the battery light goes out. This will tell you which circuit is drawing a lot of current. It will not necessarily be the circuit that has a short. Note each one that causes the light to go out, then consider which of those should have a lot of current and which should not. troubleshoot the ones that should not. If you get this far and get stuck, get back to us. We may be able to give you hints by looking at the wiring diagrams.
