Probably sensors! I have already replaced the crankshaft positioning sensor once, nissan replaced it once under recall and now it is bad again! Plus my speed sensor is bad too! Go to any part store and get diagnostic test ran, it will tell what sensors are bad.

SOURCE: my nissan sunny GA15DE was overhauled but started

Gerald:Was the engine overhauled because of the smoking problem? If so, the auto trans solution is more likely your problem. Good Luck

  • Automatic transmission? - Check vacuum line to transmission . The only line of rubber going to trans. Located where it attaches ro trans and rwmove it watching to see if it contains any trans fluid. If hose has oil in itm Then replace the valve it was attached to. The valve is called a transmission modulator. The diaphragm is rupture and aloowing engine vacuum to **** and burn the fluid. your trans should be needing fluid too often. Modulator around 12.00 last known.
  • Manual transmission ? - PCVvalve not bafflrd against drawing oil from its location in valve cover.and or Pcv valve is defective. Cheap fix-replace

Testimonial: "that was very helpful. it was the pcv valve that was letting oil into the intake manifold hence the smoking. thanks. Gerald."

Usually these are powered by vaccum . Start looking for a broken line usually under the hood or a connector that connects 2 or more lines togeather. if you find it and fix it your idle will usually smooth out. if this was helpful please leave goodback

My 1992 nissan stanza has low idle while idling. how do i adjust the idle

If it has fuel injection it cannot be adjusted.
If it has carburetor then one can turn a screw on the carburetor, but I think that your 1992 Nissan has fuel injection (electronically controlled idle).

!992 nissan stanza standard trans fluid

If your referring to the manual transmission where you do the shifting. Your going to be using gear lube, not to be confused with transmission fluid. Which is red in color, they are not interchangeable transmission fluid is only for automatic transmissions. Gear lube is much heavier in weight, you want to get a gear lube 80-90 weight this lube is perferred for your vehicle

Rough idle whene in gear..

The idle in your car is computer controlled and should return to programmed specs when you replace the plugs with OEM recommended ones. But, the idle will be somewhat lower due to the age and condition of your vehicle and all it's engine control components. Don't expect it to be perfect.

My 1992 Nissan Stanza has transmission leak.

The stop leak treatment may help the seals to seal better but I would get the car to a good transmission shop since it has that many miles on it. The fluid probably needs flushed out and changed by this time.
