Don't make new transmissions
You only get new one time, when the vehicle is made

Then you have yours rebuilt or install a reman (same thing)

$1800,00

If you want to pay a dealer $4000 go ahead
    Go to a trans shop

My 1998 doge caraven trasmition rnu slow on drive but run good on2nd &1st

Check your fluid level first. Is it low? Is it high? Either canose a problem. If it drives fine in 1st-2nd gears but is slipping in drive it can be several issues. first try draining the fluid, flush the system with clean fluid, may have service shop do flush, and replace the filter. This is the least complicated and least costly repair. If this doesnt fix the problem it sounds like your forward band may need adjusted, or replaced. depending on the transmission design it may not be adjustable. If it needs replaced, I suggest either buying the rebuild kit, around 300$, and replace all 3 bands and all clutches since they have to be removed anyway, or replacing the transmission, new up to 3k/used 50-500$ but no gaurentees it works
