Recommend u have the transmission fluid flushed, u may have a sticking valve or check ball due to varnish, new fluid will correct that many times, it is worth a try since a transmission overhaul is $1000's

change trans fluid and filter. trash in the fluid,once it warms up, the trash moves, when it cools down the trash settles back in causing it to shift improperly
Sounds like the sensor for first gear.
The transmission comes with a shift sensor for each shift: if 4 shift, 4 sensor (including reverse).
Have somebody check the sensors and the cpu for the tranny. They go hand to hand.
shifts off electric servo controlled by cars computer , see trans guy you can trust could need service ,oil and filter changed or part , like i said see one you can trust .
