Hello
Due to the complex nature of this job and the age of the car i will need time to try and find the reference material on this, i assume u have a factory service manual, without one this job is not for the home mechanic, way to difficult.

The web link below will take u to a site that sells the original GM/Cadillac factory repair/service manual for this car, very few people outside of we professional technicians know about FAXON.com OEM used factory manuals, with this manual you will have step by step instructions on how to replace the heater core, all u will need are basic hand tools, but a really good set that has both3/8" drive and 1/4" drive sockets and extensions. TYhe manual at the site below is just $39.00, it will be the best $39.00 you ever spent, trust me on this!

Have 1992 El Dorado, a/c or heater motor will not run, dash display shows working, replaced resistor, still does not work.Any suggestions?

had same thing happen on my 92 el dorado. problem is at the blower control power relay the 2 plug connectors or the connector for the blower fan. theree is a flow chart to test the voltages going to these connector in the factory shop manual, for a 92 el dorado on page 1C-17 if I remember correctly. if voltages check ok then make sure plugs are securely plugged in. if still does not work, then it's the blower control power relay. good luck!

Replace window switch for 1997 el dorado

I have the same problem. I just replaced the switch ($60 from the Internet) Easy replacement, but the problem persists, Here is my next plan of attack... The PCM (vehicle computer controls the power windows for your vehicle. check the power window relay under the hood before repairing PCM. Also the cheapest way is to call local garage and ask if they have a TECH2 scanner to talk to the PCM. The Dealer will charge you about $95hr. to do this.
