SOURCE: blower motor in gmc safari will not activate

here is how to find out if blower motor is bad, locate blower motor under hood at firewall passenger side. Remove wire from blower. Get a length of wire long enough to reach from battery to blower. strip both ends of wire about an inch. attach one end to positive side of battery touch other end to blower motor terminal. This will spark a bit when touched. If motor doesent run and you are sure both ends are connected replace the motor about 45 bucks at auto zone.

SOURCE: 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan heater blower motor not

The Blower Motor Resistor is located behind the glove box on the dash. Remove the whole glove box to access. The Resistor is mounted against/sort of into the fire wall.
1. Disconnect the negative side of battery.
2. Disconnected the Electrical Connection to the Resistor.
3. Remove the bolts/screws. I believe they have 8mm heads, there should be 2 of them.
4. Replace with new one/Replug electrical connection.
5. Reconnect the negative side last.
6. Test System before putting the glove box back in!
The Blower Motor is easy (compared to $1000) to remove and replace.

How to change a heater blower on 1997 gmc safari mini van. I have I have never changed a heater blower on a gmc mini van were do i start?

If your talking about the blower motor, its under the hood. If you buy a delco part there will be instructions in the box. There is a plastic/rubber cover over the motor that needs to be cut with a very sharp knife. Anyway buy the delco part and you'll be able to figure it out from there. Good luck.

My heater will not turn to high in my 2005 GMC Safari

I'm facing the same problem. I am part way finished replacing the motor. Here's what I know so far. Disconnect wiring for blower motor (located up against the firewall on the passenger side). Unbolt the front face from the fan housing (5 7mm bolts). Here's where I get stuck - remove the squirrel cage from the motor, there is some kind of a clip holding the cage onto the motor - how does it come off? Once it is off, replace the old motor with a new one and put things back together.
