The easiest test to do is to replace the fuse for the horn. I do not know where the fuse is for a mustang, but your car should have a fuse diagram with it or the dealership will. You might even try auto zone. If changing the fuse does not work, then you have some wiring that has gone bad. It is not a hard fix once you find the wires and are able to replace them. I hope tha replacig the fuse works for you, it worked on my truck.

check that there is power at the horn wires . If so replace the horn unit. if not check out the relay and the horn fuse. If that is all good check out the connections on the horn ring under the steering wheel

Horn doesnt work all the time on my 1994 ford thunderbird

when the horn isn`t working can you hear the horn relay clicking in the dash.if so then the horn is the problem or you have a bad/dirty connection at the horn itself.

Power locks, windows, and horn do not work on 2002 ford focus se

Owner's manual should have a diagram of the fuse panel. Need to find which fuses control these items and check the fuses.

My 2007 forenza horn works from time to time, otherwise not at all the fuses are fine and the relay is clicking but the horn doesnt blow

more than likely the horn is bad, but i wouldnt rule out the possibility of a faulty clockspring ,but not likely.
