Looking at a possible relay that is having bad contact with the harness, or a bad relay by itself.
I had this problem with my 1997 Cadillac Deville (Limo) where just touching the harness at the relay seemed to make it work or not work. So, had to change the fan motors which were not working at the 2 speeds required, the harness connections, and the relays of which there were 3.

That was on my Cadillac. I don't think it would get more complicated on the Buick LeSabre.

The LeSabre probably has less relays than the Cadillac.

An electric shop may be able to help you trace the wiring to the relay and replace for a nominal cost.

CTS (Coolant Temperature Sensor) sometimes go bad but in my experience not very often.

Heater fan not operating

Most of the time when a heater blower quits working it is the blower switch that fails rather than the motor. Blower switch can be accessed in the dash panel.

How do you replace the relay on the cooling fan---fan is not working and fuse is good

it may not be the relay but the cooling fan itself failing intermittently, I had the same
problem with an 04 PT cruzer and the fan was intermittently failing (if the fan has an open frame on the motor water gets into the motor). I replaced the relay with no success
(located in the engine compartment as yours will most likely be). Once I replaced the
fan itself, the problem went away and the A/C functioned much better. Hope this helps.

My car is overheating.and fan wont kick in.backfiring underhood

OK, if the fan won't work one may have to have the fans replaced, the relays, and the relay contacts depending on the severity of the problem.

I just spent $724 on repairs to my 1997 Cadillac Deville where the technician replaced the fan motors, the relays, and replaced the relay contacts at the harness due to burnt contacts there.

I was experiencing a passenger side (larger) fan that was working intermittently.

The technician discovered that the fans would work intermittently when the fan relays (3 of them) were shook.

I guess the heat got to them over the years.

Good luck on this repair.

Check and see if you have power to the blower motor regulator. It is located behind the glove box.
