YOU NEED TO REPLACE THE THERMOSTAT AGAIN,IT SOUNDS LIKE ITS NOT OPENING UP,SO COOLANT ISN'T BEING ALLOWED TO CIRCULATE THEREFOR YOU WONT GET ANY HEAT AND THE ENGINE WILL RUN HOT,THATS WHY THE FANS KEEP RUNNING.

The cooling fan running for a short time after turning off is normal.as far as the NO HEAT is concerned have the topmost hot hose clip undone and vent any airlock you may have.(pref a hose that is attached to the heater inside the engine bay).

My fan will not shut off when I shut the engine off

How long does it run? some cars will run the fan for a few minutes to ensure that too much heat does not build up under the hood. Wait for 5 minutes and see if it is still running when the engine is off. If it is you may have a bad temperature sensor. Does the engine temperature gauge work properly?

I have a 2000 jaguar stype and it won't start I put some gas in the car and tried starter fluid it turned on but cut off 3 times there is pressure in the fuel pump but it still won't start what can it

I would start with all the fuses. Yes this seems like a simple and pointless thing to do but I have a 2002 S type Jaguar and my issue was a fuse in the trunk panel I did not even know existed. You should have 3 fuse boxes. Check all the fuel related fuses first then you can go from there. Also if you have replaced a fuel pump recently pull it out and set it back in the fuel tank. It may not be put in correctly therefore blocking the sock on the pump and not being able to pull fuel. your fuel pump will only fit perfectly only one way. These are simple fixes but most the time that is what it is

Why does the engine fan NOT turn off on my 2002 Jaguar S Type 4.0 liter? It runs for several minutes after turning the car off and will come on while driving. I just replaced the sensor and it is still...

It would not be abnormal, so long as the fan does not come on when you switch on from cold. The fan's job is to draw air through the radiator to cool the contained liquid to a suitable working temperature. The fans sensor is activated by the temperature of the coolant. If this is a problem which worries you, try driving as gently and slowly as possible for the last mile or two of your journey. If things are normal the fan should not run on switch-off as that 'trick' will have allowed the coolant to get below the fan-kick-in temperature before you stop the engine. If your vehicle has a temperature gauge use the rteading as an indication.

COULD THE RADIATOR CONTINUE TO MAKE A CAR OVER HEAT AFTER THEROMSTAT HAS BEEN REPLACED?

yes,, If it is plugged it will make the heat rise quickly ,, there has to be "flow" just as a precaution,, and it does happen,, thermostats can be placed upside down on some models, or the wrong temp setting on the unit itself is incorrect , also,, check (if you have elec fans,) make sure they are kicking in, Let the car idle for 10 minutes or so,, with the AC off, the fans should engage once the temp goes up to cool the water in the radiator itself, Once the motor water hits the temp on the thermostat it opens allowing the motor water to be replaced with what was in the radiator,

Fan runs after car shut off

You may need to replace your thermostat. This is normal for the fan to run after you turn your car off but if you say its running for 20 minutes or longer, it may mean your thermostat is stuck and causing the fan to run longer to cool off the radiator. Its a good thing for the fan to run. Heat is your enemy. I rather the fan run than no fan at all, if your car overheats, you could blow a gasket or warp your valves and its really pricey if that happens
