Question about 1985 Ford Mustang

1 Answer

When we turn on our park lights they don't light up. All of the bulbs work, but the park light setting just wont turn them on. Were trying to find the fuse box, but can't find where its located. Any suggestions on where it could be???

Why does every one look at fuses? Educate yourself. Do you know what a fuse does? Doesn't fix anything!

Have you at least got to the light switch and tested it.

My 2002 ford ranger running lights and instrument panel dont work

12V power passes through 15A fuse 33 (the one that keeps blowing?) in the battery junction box and on to the main light switch. When the main light switch is set to PARK, 12 volts is routed via the BRN lead to the park filaments of the dual park/turn lamps. These lights remain on when the headlight switch is turned to HEAD.

The main light switch gets its 12V input from 7.5A fuse 11 in the central junction box and the same 15A fuse (33) identified above. When the main light switch is set to PARK, 12 volts is routed via the BRN lead to the instrument panel dimming module and module output is applied to the panel illuminating lamps. These lights remain on when the headlight switch is turned to HEAD.

The input to fuse 33 is hot all the time so should read 12V. If you read 12V at the TAN/WHT connection with the fuse out, something is definitely not right. I'm sure you have noted that the fuse is common to the non-functioning circuits you mentioned.

1999 buck regal has to problems, 1st is when you signal the turn lights in the front wont blink but just stay on like your headlights do the rears blink... and 2nd my cluster guages mileage light turned...

If you bulbs won't blink there are most likely out. Some cars use two bulbs in one. One for the parking lights and one for the blinkers. All in one bulb. So, if the blinkers don't blink it could be a bulb. It could also be the flasher relay. On you second question what do you mean when you say my cluster gauges mileage light? Do you mean it is out and not lighting? If so, the most common solution is a burnt bulb or cluster of bulbs. Most dash lights work like Christmas tree bulbs. If one light is out in the circuit than chances are they all will not work. If this is the case the instrument panel will have to be pulled to fix the problem. And there is also the exception that it could be an electrical wiring problem. I would first try the bulbs. As far as cos,t I would not have a clue since I fix everything myself 99% of the time. You might someone in your area that is a back yard mechanic to fix the problem if you are not able to do it yourself. Make sure you get references before you hire them. Hope this helps.

I have a problem with my 1978 chevy pickup tail light. It is the left tail light that doesnt work when I press and the brake and the signal. And the light bulb is good. but when i put on my parking lights...

the cheapest thing to do is change any and all bulbs in that tail light. if 1 is bad it can effect all of them. hopefully you don't have a short somewhere. but i would try the bulbs first, they're only a couple dollars and usually the problem. gl

2001 Explorer Sport ,Rear Driver Brake Light and Turn Sig. Broke

Rear lights are double filament bulbs one side for the lights other side for the brake/turn signals so it still may be a bulb. Do u have a test light or volt meter you can check to make sure u have power there when brakes or turn signals are activated. Or just try another bulb.

Tail lights wont work

sounds like ground problem- remove tail lights and look for wires going to body -remove screww clean grounding area and replace- both sides. You did not say whether the lights work when car is off? With car off and brake pedal pushed is there any brake lights ? If not procede with above.
