Does the antifreeze have to be a certain type?

Hi Neil, Im AL the owner of Big As Auto Repair

That all depends on the year model of your vehicle. For instance: Chrysler in 1998 began to use a 5 year coolant which is a pink color and through the years we learned that mixing other coolant's with this type coolant would cause jelling affect and clog up the system. So a word of caution: Contact the dealer and give them your VIN number and make sure before adding coolant just to be safe because its very costly if it jells. Hope this helps and please send people to my auto-repair-website at:

If your low on antifreeze the heater core may not be getting sufficient coolant. Heater core most likely clogged if you're not low on antifreeze

yes maybe a fuse, also look under the seat and ensure the wire is connected they sometimes get caught when moving the seat back and forward and split against the metal seat base.
