Question about 2007 Dodge Caliber SXT Sport Hatchback

1 Answer

Are there 2 catalytic converters in the 2007 Dodge Caliber R/T models? One dealership is telling me that after they replaced the converter, the other one in the exhaust manifold is bad as well. A different dealership is telling me that there is not two converters in my car.

Should be in the exhaust pipe just after the catalytic converter.

Scraping noise catalytic converter

No, my guess is your experiencing a little rust on brake rotors, or something similar. What happens when you do it with slight pressure on brakes, does noise change? Does it matter which way you turn? Doesn't happen at other speeds?

2007 dodge caliber check engine code pm420 what is it and how do I fit it

420 is catalytic converter efficiency below minimum specs.

Probably time for a new convertor, it could also be a dirty O2 sensor. you can clean them with electric parts cleaner, or replace it at a pretty decent price

07 caliber p0420

Might still be under warranty. P0420 is a catalytic converter efficiency code. Usually this means the catalytic converter is no longer able to do it's job. The computer knows when it is failing and sets this code.

Check with your dealer to see if the catalytic converter might still be covered as it is an emissions component.
