My fiesta is mis firing and i bought a obd scanner and the code has come up with p0030 ho2s bank 1 sensor 1 heater circuit how do i fix that to keep it running??help please....

That doesn't have anything to do with the car misfiring. All the heater circuit does is warm up the O2 sensor a little faster so that it can start working a little faster. If the O2 where not working or if it where stuck lean or rich there would be a code specifically for those. If those codes where present I would say your on to something by suspecting the O2 sensor.

To find a misfire you can pull off plug wires individually and see if the RPM changes, Check the spark plug condition, Check for good spark at each plug, wet down the ignition wires with the engine running and see if they leak spark, etc.

P0030....HO2S Heater Control Circuit (Bank 1 Sensor 1) and to be truthfull i havent a clue as to what its refering too , i can only sumise its something to do with the heat going into the inlet manifold from the cooling system and a sensor is reading the temperature and adjusting the fuel mixture accordingly .sorry i havent been much help for this but if you ever change a front wheel bearing then make sure the grey coloured paint is fitted to the sensor side (interior by drive shaft) or the ABS light doesnt go out

Replace the 02 sensor with any brand but Bosch. It's located on the passengers side exhaust manifold, easy access.

Possible causes of OBD code P0030:
Heated Oxygen Sensor (H2OS) Bank 1 Sensor 1 circuit open shorted to ground - Heated Oxygen Sensor (H2OS) Bank 1 Sensor 1 circuit poor electrical connection - Faulty Heated Oxygen Sensor (H2OS) Bank 1 Sensor 1 circuit - Heated Oxygen Sensor (H2OS) Bank 1 Sensor 1 circuit fuse - Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM) The Error code is generally activated on detection of the following conditions: The P0030 is set when the ECM detects an open or shorted to ground condition on the heated oxygen sensor heater circuit
Possible Solutions:
The code means that there is a problem with the heater element circuit of the heated oxygen sensor. Water getting inside the heated oxygen sensor connector can caused the heated oxygen sensor fuse to blow, which is a very common problem for this type codes. Before replacing the sensor, check for the condition of the heated oxygen sensor fuse and connectors. HO2S Heater Control Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 1 is the generic definition for the P0030; however your vehicle's manufacturer may have a different definition and information for the P0030 code.

Hi there,

P0030 = HO2S Heater Control Circuit (Bank 1 Sensor 1) - No.1 Heated Oxygen sensor on bank 1.
P0036 = HO2S Heater Control Circuit (Bank 1 Sensor 2) - No. 2 Heated Oxygen sensor on bank 1

For both of these to trigger on the same bank, means most likely an Open or Short to Ground condition (somewhere on the Bank 1 circuit) stopping the HO2 sensors from reaching their working temperature.

Check the following in this order:

1) Using a multimeter, check 'continuity' of the Oxygen circuit FUSE terminals (don't rely on visual inspection alone) or replace fuse with a known good one.
2) Check for moisture getting into both oxygen sensor connector terminals (bank 1).
3) Check for good connection at Oxygen sensors (bank 1).
3) Have both heated oxygen sensors on Bank 1 tested (ensure their values are to specification).
4) Check HO2 pin-outs of the PCM for correct voltage.

Only replace the HO2 sensors as a last resort (if out of spec).

Then engine department relay centre & fusebox location is behind the washer bottle, but I believe the HO2 sensors are connected direct to the PCM, not a relay.
