My car has a back light out but its not a brake light, its a tiny light on the side, but i dont know what its called?

Most likely called a marker lamp, however, if you remove the bulb it should have a number on it. Take it in to your local autoparts store and they will know exactly what number replacement bulb you need.

Im trying to change my break light bulb but dont know how to access it

If it is a car, open the trunk. You may have to pull back the carpet lining which will reveal the light bulb connections or access panel. On a truck, drop the tailgate. There should be mounting screws inside the jam (where the tailgate meets with the bed of the truck). Remove those and pull the taillight assembley out carefully. Twist the light bulb connector counterclockwise to remove the lightbulb and connector. Then do the same with the light bulb if it is cylinder shaped at the base. If it is flat then just pull the bulb out ane replace it.

Need to replace low beam passenger side headlight do you have a diagram on how to get to light

Just had to solve the same problem the other day. Simple actually. Remove the plastic coolant tank with a 10mm socket and ratchet then remove the head light bulb housing by simply turning it about an 8th of a turn counter clockwise. Then there is a metal clip that holds the bulb in the light itself that has a small screw on the top and just hooks under the bottom of the bulb. dont remove the screw just pop the clip loose from the bottom.remove the wires that are plugged into the remove the bulb. when replaceing the bulb DO NOT touch the new bulb on the glass part or you will be replaceing the bulb once again due to it blowing as soon as you install and turn it on. use latex gloves. now just simply reverse the steps and you should be good to go. it can be a little tricky getting the metal clip re connected at the bottom but if you just take your time and dont get in a hurry, it will go smoothly. make sure you look at the way everything is together before you take it apart so you will know how it all goes back. Good luck.

Harrismk@How do I remove the rear tail light plastic cover to get to the light bulb?

You don't. The method involves removing the entire assembly and the bulbs go in from the back. This makes for much more water tight trunks.
You need to release interior trim to get at the 3 or 4 thumb screws to release the assembly. Pretty easy job, once you know where to go.

The break lights dont work.

Are you sure it is a bulb issue, if all the brake lights are not working chances are it may be a brake light switch which is located on the brake pedal assemly.
If it's the bulbs, there are two screws holding each rear light assembly in place, open the hatch, they are on the hatch side of the lights, remove the screws and then the light will come free, to reove the sockets just rotate them and they will come out. pull the bulbs out and reverse all the steps.
If you need a switch, let me know, I'll give you the steps for replacement.
Good luck

Check the fuse first. If that is ok, then check the bulbs..may need replacing. If the bulbs are ok, check the wiring, both from the control switch and to the lamps.
