Where do i change the flashers on a1998 cadillac?

Modern vehicles don't have a flasher unit, they work from a signal from the Body Control Module. The article below is for a 1999 model and says with a picture

Bad gauge or in tank send unit. Most are the send unit and it is pricey.

First, set everything the way that you want, then press the memory button, then press the desired user # 1 or # 2.

there is a 4 way flasher and turn signal flasher they are both down near the steering collum

On Cadillac Deville, the Flasher is located:
- Hazard flasher: Front seating area, driver side, under dash, mounted on passenger side of steering column
- Turn signal: Front seating area, driver side, under dash, mounted on passenger side of steering column

1. Remove the necessary sound insulator panel(s) from under the instrument panel.
   
2. Remove the flasher from the retaining clip and disconnect the wiring connector.

To install:

1. Connect the wiring connector to the new flasher and install the flasher in the retaining clip.
   
2. Install the sound insulator panel(s).

it sounds like wiring may be bad.

Both flashers ( TURN SIGNAL and HAZARD WARNING ) are under the L/S lower dash by steering coluum support. Whichever flasher you are looking to replace, just use one like the hazards and listen for the clicks to determine which flasher is which. Hope this helps

Very well could be. Cadillac changes from year to Year. If so it will be a Small box or Circle Plugged into a Wiring Harness.
