    Hello!

    I check the ABS Solenoid Relay and the electric circuit. I think that the ABS Solenoid Relay isn't out of order. The impedance of coil is 76,5 oms. What is your opinion, is this normal? Is possible the problem is connected with the repairs of the automatic transmission?

    Hello! We replace the ABS Relay and check the electric circuit. We check the rear ABS speed sensors. The impedance is: for RH 1302 ohms, and for LH 1261 ohms. When car is in drive with hand-hald tester we can 3 fault codes C0279, C1223 and c 1336. We can to clear C1336 with tester, but in next drive we can again C1336. C0279 and C1223 we can't clear with tester. Warning lights VSC, ABS and Brake are switch on. What can we make now.

    Hello! I check the continuity between Green/White and Red/Blue - 32 ohms; between Red/Blue and Red/Black - 14,9 ohms and between Green/White and Red/Black - 18 ohms. I check this values 9 wire conector near the speed box. I thing that this conector is to the Rear switch. Is this true conector? I don't find the 3 wire conector.

    Hello! Fault codes; C0279 and C1223 are caused by a shorted contact in the ABS Solenoid Relay...This relay is located in the under-hood junction box...When the battery was replaced or charged, A current spike may have damaged the relay...I do not have the capability to send a circuit diagram of that size...If you purchase a repair manual,wiring diagrams for the entire vehicle are included...However, replacing the ABS Solenoid Relay should clear the fault...After replacement, disconnect the negative battery cable for several minutes, then reconnect...This will clear the fault code from the computer...A defective relay effects the VSC; Which in turn causes shift timing to be incorrect...Diagnostics performed by the vehicles ECU produced the error codes...Change the Relay...Clear the codes...And send results...

    NOTE...Make certain that both + and - battery cables are clean and tight on both ends....

    Hello! Yes, that's a correct reading...Typical coil resistance is 78 ohms...It's a Bosch Single Pole Double Throw (SPDT) relay...It's the contacts were concerned with...The ABS Solenoid Relay is named as such because it supplies +12 volts to the ABS Actuator Solenoids...The junction box has a 15 pin connector (B)...Pin 14 is a Blue/Black wire...Grounded when relay is not pulled and +12v when relay is pulled...This set of relay contacts are the primary concern...A Bosch SPDT is inexpensive...Under $10...Check pin #14 by inserting a safety pin into the rear of the in-place connector on the Blue/Black wire...Wire is grounded with key off and +12 volts with engine running...If not replace the relay...The ABS/VSC ECU controls the relay...Lets hope the ECU is OK...There are two other relays involved...ABS Motor relays #1 and 2...Also Bosch relays only they are single Pole Single Throw (SPST)...You can pull all three...Take them to an auto parts store for identification and replace them...It's your dime...

    In conclusion, I do not believe there is a fault in the transmission...It is an effect not a cause...Test the contacts on the ABS Relay...Replace if defective.................Saailer

    Hello! Since the relay has been replaced, the fault is located in the Deceleration Sensor (DS) or it's circuit...The Park/Neutral switch is part of the circuit...The DS is located under the console between the seats...Near the Air Bag sensor (so, be careful)...The DS has a 4 wire connector with wire colors...Violet, Pink, Yellow, and Black...This sensor requires calibration...I'll send this procedure after we check the P/N Switch...The P/N SW. has a 3
    wire connector...Green/White...Red/Black...And Red/Blue..With vehicle in park check for continuity between Green/White and Red/Blue...Must read OPEN...Next between Red/Blue and Red/black...Must read SHORT...Send results...Saailer

    Hello! The last readings you sent confirm the fault...The Park/Neutral switch is defective and needs to be replaced... The Green/White lead must read open to the Red/Black and Red/blue with the lever in park...The Green/White is the Neutral switch contact and should be open to the other contacts while in the park position...Cost is around $225...See picture below...Saailer

have you had the OBD codes read ? if not could well be code(s) P0440 P0441 P0442 P0443 P0446 and a few others ,these refer to the Evaperation control system , one easy thing to try is make sure the gas tank cap is securely tightened turning so a couple of clicks are heard , this may cure the light coming on if not will need the codes reading and further investigation keep me updated if you wish

Transmission locked in Park, and ABS, VSC TRAC, VSC OFF show on the dash. Heater blower not working so I was pulling fuses looking for a blown one.

Fuse for my Tail Lights, licence plate lights, and instrument panel lights keeps blowing on my 2002 Toyota Land Cruiser


  1. Tail,Plate and panel lamps all work off the same fuse
  2. do you have a trailer lamp kit on the cruiser?
  3. check condition of trailer lamp wiring under rear
  4. if not remove and inspect all tail bulbs and their connections
  5. has anyone installed an aftermarket sterio setup possibly running a screw through a wiring harness?
