Question about 1995 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
There is a problem with the theft deterrent system and it needs to be fixed for the light to go off.You need to get the codes to find out what could be causing the light to stay on.You can try the quick relearn.Just attempt to start the car and leave the key on,in ten minutes the light will go off. Then try starting the car.Sometimes this works but you should still get the codes.Could be a worn out key resistor,or a bad ignition cylinder. This is the part that the key goes into.Sometimes the wire in the cylinder breaks. This will cause a no start. If you go to a G.M.dealer they have a V.A.T.S machine and they can check your key for you.Hope this helps.Let me know what you find or what codes you get.Good luck.
