Most times this is an indication of a striped winder gear. The panel has to come off to check it anyway.

Just bought coupe v6 and drivers window wont work

Drivers windows get the most use so usually are first to fail. Do you hear the motor try to run? If you remove the inner door panel you can try using jumper wires directly to the motor to see what's up. Bad motor most likely.

Driver window wont go up or down 2010 ford fusion

Do the other windows work ok?
There might be something wrong with window motor, itself? With most vehicles, the driver door window is rolled up and down much more than the others.

I have problem with My 1994 Ford Mustang windows...they need help rolling up and down. When I push switch I can hear the motor run and a friend said he took apart and they are not off track. Also when all...

I have a 1990 Mustang with power windows. When i first got the car the windows rolled up and down fine, then the passenger one started going up slower than the driver one. When i needed to fix my power locks i had them change the window motor in the passenger side. Now the passenger window rolls up faster than the driver one. The problem is the window motors.......and about the motors still running: the switches probably need to be replaced as well. I can almost guarantee this will solve your problem:)

Power window on the driver side dont go down but all the other windows do, what might be the problem

The switch or the motor is at fault. The two wires going to the motor are easy to figure out. One is for up and the other is for down. The motor is grounded to the door so no ground wire is present. You can simply run a know hot wire to each window wire toi see if the motor works. If so replace the master drivers door window switch

Window motor on drivers side constantly runs down

Best guess would be a shorted window switch, it may have moisture in the switch or the wires are shorted or the switch needs to be replaced.

Hope this is of some help.

2000 elantra driver side front window will not go down

take your door cover off, give the window motor direct current(run 2 wires from your battery) to the harness prongs. switch the wires to prongs to make it go either up or down. If the window goes down you have a faulty window switch, if it does nothing, but get hot. you need to replace your window motor, some window motors come with new regulators too.

you have fuses inside the car on the dash about where left knee is.
This is for 2003, don't have 2004. should be similar.

Principles of Operation
Power Window Control
NOTE: Battery power and ground must be removed before disconnecting the GEM connectors to avoid setting false DTCs.
The driver power window one-touch down operation is controlled by the generic electronic module (GEM). This feature functions only when the ignition switch is in the RUN or ACCY positions. The GEM determines ignition switch position by monitoring the key-in ignition, RUN/ACCY and RUN/START circuits. The one-touch down operation is requested of the GEM by momentarily pressing the driver window regulator control switch DOWN for 62 ms to 320 ms. The GEM uses the initial voltage input from the down switch to begin the one-touch down operation. If the voltage input was less than 320 ms, the GEM will maintain the voltage supply to the motor down circuit. The GEM will maintain the operation until:
  • seven seconds expires.
  • motor stall is detected by monitoring the current draw.
  • a voltage input is received by the GEM on either the up or down switch circuits.
The ground for one-touch down operation does not pass through the GEM. The ground is supplied through the driver window regulator control switch as with normal operation. If the GEM continues to see voltage on the down circuit for more than 320 ms after initial activation the GEM will not effect operation. The down circuit through the GEM is a direct connection to the motor in its normal state. This allows the driver window regulator control switch to control the motor for normal operation.
The passenger window motors are hardwired directly to the window regulator control switches.

Drivers power window went down but won't go back up.... replaced drivers window relay, still does not work.... all other windows work properly

Had the same problem with mine, Removed the door panel and removed the window motor( two bolts holding it in), reconnected the window switch and ran /tested the motor. If it runs reinstall the motor and it should go up and down now. I had 2 windows jam down and this fixed both of them
