you have to pm me if it was me you where trying to get otherwise they just go back on the message board and there is hundreds and hundreds on there. if you can get the front grill off you can access the latch from there and a bit of fiddling with a screwdriver will help. if this helps please rate me joe

You will need to remove the hatch panel, and release it manually. It is a pain in the **** with the hatch closed, but it can be done.

just double check that something didnt get jambed back there behind the seats and nothing is restricting it from comeing all the way up have someone control up and down then watch to see if its binding up some where this should be a smooth transaction

You'll have to remove part of the grill and try to access the latch from inside. Yoy may have to unbolt the entire thing, but make sure you mark it 1st so that you know how to put it back in the EXACT spot it came from. Then once out, you can extracate it from the latch pin on the hood, replace your cable and start fresh. Good luck, this is one of those things that no matter how long you've been working on cars, its always hard to do!
