Hi, do you mean that your cars cooling system boils and a lot of steam escapes? This could be caused by a number of things and I would never attempt to diagnose an engine problem without looking at the vehicle in person but most likely from your vague description I would suggest that you have either a head gasket blown or your head is cracked, both of which require experienced diagnosis and rectification. Make sure your radiator is full of water (only fill when cold, never when hot) and take it to a reputable mechanic who will tell you what is wrong. I hope this helps

Overheating with thermostate out.no leaks hoses good

Blown headgasket. Or air gettin into coolant system. Cooling systems are pressureized and thats how they can get so hot without boiling. If your getting air in the system it boils easily cause its not under pressure. Or also if you only have water in it and not a 50/50 mix of water and coolant

Heat, water coming from engine is boiling

if water coming from engine to heater core is boiling check the other hose to see if its hot or cold, if hot then your blend air door is stuck or broken, if the water is cold then your heater core is clogged. it would also help if you had mentioned the year and type of vehicle you need help with as they are not all built the same. good luck

How can i tell when my thermostats bad on my 1999 jeep grand cherokee 4.7l

The best way to test it is to remove the thermostat, and then boil some water in a pot, drop the thermostat into the water and watch how well the thermostat responds. It should open up to the full open position very quickly and if it is slow or lagging to open up, or it does not open fully then replace the thermostat.
