Question about 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier
This may be because the the fluid level is low. Check the brake fuid level in the engine bay. The reservoir is on the drivers side of the vehicle on the firewall(rear of the engine bay). It sits on top of an aluminium cylinder(master cylinder) with some small pipes leading from the cylinder. The master cylinder in turn is mounted on the brake booster which is a large round metallic object on the firewall.
