Will not start in morning. Have to use starting fluid. Will not start when key is in start position. Had to install push button direct to starter to turn engine over. Is this a glow plug problem and how hard would it be to fix myself?

2007 dodge caliber has full power to all electronics. The engine light stays on and when you turn the car to start nothing. Turning the key does not even deam the lights like the starter is getting no

Sounds like the solenoid on the starter is not getting any power, check the small wire connection on the starter to see if there is power in the start position, if not you have an ignition switch problem or an open circuit between the ignition switch and starter solenoid... if you do have power in the crank position then you have a bad starter.

2006 Ford Expedition will not start this morning, battery checks 12 volts, will not do anything when turn key to start position

You can jump starter relay to see if starter will crank the engine. Pull the starter relay, use jumper wire between terminals 30 and 87, terminal 30 is hot all the time and there is a fuse, the starter motor should crank the engine. If you try that make sure tranny is in park or neutral and parking brake is set. Two voltage circuits at starter motor, one is hot all the time. The other goes hot when relay is energized. The starter motor grounds through engine block. Battery positive and negative connections are important.

How do you hook up a push button start on a 1992 Honda accord ex

You will need to either splice or direct connect one of the leads to a push button starter to the starter solenoid. from there one fused wire to battery positive. And there you have a push button starter here is the danger of doing this if you are in gear with the key on or off and the button is accidently engage it can take off with you in the car or not so extreme safety needs to be practiced at all times

Starter switch

You'll connect one side of the button to constant 12v. like the battery positive and the other side of the switch will go to the trigger wire of the starter. This is the wire that tells the starter what to do.
