Question about Honda Accord

2 Answers

Have had flashing removed by panelbeater. It has not been replaced correctly. It is sitting up with an ugly gap and clips don,t appear to be holding correctly. Not returning to business, will repair myself. I know the flasing is cosmetic only so I assume Ican do agood job myself.

the flashing is on the rear window of the car. It was removed to repair rust damage and has not been replaced correctly. I have been offerred numerous excuses about broken clips, the age of the car,the strip is bent etc but basically a sloppy job has been done and I would like the strip to be positioned flat on the glass and the metal surround as it was when it went to the shop.

Maybe get new clips so that they will hold. Sometimes they get damaged when removed roughly.

How do I removethe drivers door panel on a 2005 dodge caravan

First you must remove the switch assembly, to do this insert a small flat head screwdriver at the top of the switch assembly go straight down and push in toward the switch releasing the hold down clip. remove wires from switch and sit it on floor board. Inside the opening remove Phillips screw and the other one that is at base of handle. check for screws that might be along the bottom of the door panel if there remove them as well. Next work your fingers in to the gap between the panel and the door(might have to pry out on panel to get your fingers in there) with a firm quick motion pull out on door panel. this will separate the pop-in clips, if some of the clips stick into the door pry them out and slide them back into door panel(it will be obvious). reverse steps to re-install. please comment on this post it helps me to help you and others.

How do i change the airfilter on a 95 murcury villager

The air filter is not quickly changed. I found it best to disconnect and remove the battery first. Then the housing to the air filter is more easily accessed. The air filter housing is that big ugly black plastic box sitting on an angle behind the battery. Loosen the two hose clamps on the downstream side, un-clip the wired sensor on the housing, and remove the 3 bolts that hold the box to the car body (one high, 2 low) Pop off the air-in port and pull the air-filter box from the car. See how it\'s wire clamped on 3 sides and use pliers to lift them off their stays. Open and remove old filter, wipe or blow out any debris and gunk found in the housing, put in new filter. Carefully re-clamp shut, being sure it\'s seated correctly. Lightly clean and grease the ports that will be re-clamped and put it all back. Yeah, it\'s tedious, but now you know how it all fits together. And you can clean all that acid on your battery, battery posts and tray before putting that back in while you\'re at it, making for a better connection there too.

Remove radio 1995 buick riviera

first thing you should unhook your battery just to be safe. you have to take out the bracket that holds everything. the cover. it is a clip on and clip off. use a flat head screw driver and pry it off. one corner at a time and then eventually it should come right off. under that there are brackets holding the radio in place. unscrew the screws that bind the two. un plug anything that is connected to the radio. they should easily come off they are clip connected. after you removed all wires going from and too the radio and the screws have been taken out. it should slide right out. if you are buying a after market radio or navigation screen you will have to buy the correct casing that holds the radio. as there might be a gap between the radio and the plastic. just repeat backwards to reinstall everything. be carefull not to break or crack the plastic when removing it with a flat head. hope I could help.

Headlight bulb replacement on renault modus

Replacing a dipped head light bulb on a Renault Modus.

Having recently purchased a 2008 Modus with the passenger side dipped beam head light bulb not working. Concerned that posts on this matter talked about removing several body parts or a costly visit to the Renault dealer.

It's a simple 10 minute job. It is a little tricky with limited access and restricted view. However - its as simlpe as - remove circular cover from rear of bulb holder - remove the clip on connecter and push to side. You need to pull the wire clip above the bulb slightly to the side from its holding and it flips down and out of the way Be careful not to detach the clip from its holding points below the bulb - it's extra hassle to put back in.
You can now remove the old bulb - replace with the new bulb. Make sure its sitting correctly in housing. Re attach the clip to its holding point above the bulb. Replace the connector.Replace the circular cover to the rear of the bulb holder.

It takes 10 minutes - cost me under five pounds for the replacement bulb. Hope this helps.

1994 Nissan door panel how do I get the escuscion around the door panel off so I can remove panel

IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE CORRECT TOOL TO REMOVE THE CLIP THAT HOLDS THE HANDLE ON YOU CAN USE A HOOK TOOL AND PULL THE U CLIP OUT OF THE HANDLE. IT IS UNDER PRESSURE SO BE CAREFUL AND KEEP AN EYE ON WHERE IT MIGHT FLY TOO. YOU DON'T HAVE TO TAKE IT ALL THE WAY OFF BUT SINCE YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT IT I WOULD TAKE IT ALL THE WAY OFF.

Hi, The drivers side exterior door handle is not working on our BMW X5, the handle appears to be loose and slightly sitting out further than it should be. Can anyone tell me what is the best proceedure to...

stop by your local auto parts store and ask for a trim removal tool. they will hook you up with the right stuff. Start by removing all the screws you see in the door panel, such as those holding the arm rest in place. taking the trim tool, feel around the outer edge of the door panel for the clips that hold it in place. when you find one, put the tool around it and pry outward until the clip comes out of the door. do this until you have the panel free.

Once the panel is off, you will be looking for a loose rod sitting inside the door that will need to be reconnected to the handle.

Good luck.

Does this cable just pop off what appears to be a ball on the throttle body, or does that clip have to be removed? Thanks Don

Depends on the year and size of motor, if it is an 80-96 f serise then it has a spring type clip that retains the cable to it

97 Buick Lesabre-Am I crazy or do you have to unhook the engine mount to replace serpentine belt,I hope im just missing something. Thanks for any help. Don

Not the whole mount! Raise the car, remove passenger front wheel. Remove two clips that hold splash guard that is in front of the lower part of that engine mount. You'll then see the lower stud with a nut on it. Remove that nut, remove stud with a socket, then remove the spacer that was around stud between bracket and engine. That opens a gap to allow the belt to go on.
