Sounds like valve stem seals are shot or oil rings. Fan is run by a relay swich is sent a signal from the ecm which gets it signal from the temp control switch.

are you talking about the thermostat? I figured that if the thermostat is bad it may not be expanding to let enough water through to cool the car down.
the relay switch- the fuse box has a relay for the cooling fan. are you talking about this? should i replace this?
do you think the valve stem seal is allowing oil to LEAK? or does this cause it to just burn MORE?
Thank you for you help :)

The valve stem seals are located inside the head itsself and let oil leak by the valves and into the cylinder and that causes it to burn the oil.
The relay im talking about is located in the fuse box, listed as cooling fan relay, if this relay gets week it will start to stick from years of service and cause voltage issues that will cause the fan to turn slow or quit working at all.I would advise changing this and as far as the thermostat goes it is always good to change the thermostat every 3 to 5 years due to the changes in the buildup from the changes in antifreeze. make shure if you change the thermostat that before you put it in, that the block is full of water or antifreeze. if not you will have a air pockett and since water is heavyer than air , the water never lets the thermostat open so be shure before you put it back in to fill the whole the stat goes in to the top then put it in. make shure you clean the houseing and where the housing set and if it call for a o-ring just use that if not be shure to use Hi-Tempt black or red permatex and just make a even bead around the housing. Set it down on there and start bolt but dont tighten till waiting about 10 minutes, this lets the silicone set and make a gaskett, after waiting tighten till you see the permatex start to bulge out . tighten bolt a little at a time from side to side to desired tightness and you will be through with this istalation.
When a car uses oil as yours is , it will run a little hotter cause you are mixing oil with gas and makes the engine run warmer. I would take it to a shop if you deside to have the heads worked for the valve stem seals.

Is there anything I could add to reduce oil burning in my 2009 Audi A4

A4 always requires adding oil before it is due for an oil change, but only a few hundred miles is excessive. I buy 5 qts when it is on sale. Do you notice any leaks in garage?

Smoke smells when ac on nissan sentra

The speed control of your fan has resisters that are in the venting system to blow air on them to keep them cool. If they overheat and or burn you will lose your low and medium speeds of the fan. If you run the fan at full see if the smell goes away. Your engine could be burning oil on the outside of the engine block, make sure that the weatherstrip where your hood meets the fresh air intake grill is sealing tight.

Hello first off

Well usually i would try to help with the problems but being that your car is brand new and all i think you should push to get into another car.

As i worked at bmw manufacturing it sounds like a friday car sounds crazy but im very serious no new car should leak burn or leak that much oil and be blowing fuses like that its a lemon.

start reviewing your your local lemon laws i would hate to see you stuck with something that's just always going to be a problem.

If it helps you out at all can you leave me thumbs up thanks

Bought the envoy w/ 70,000 miles, fresh oil change. @ 74,000 miles it was 1.5 qrts low, put in 5w30, checked oil 2 weeks later it was 1 qrt low. do not see smoke or any leaking.

I just bought a 2005 envoy too. I read in the manual that the 4.6 6 cyl engine needs 7 qts total. 2 Over the normal oil change. Is it possible it wasn't low to start? I noticed when Walmart changed the oil they charged extra for the change because it needed the two extra qts. However my dip stick has oil over the full mark. Seemed strange but I haven't had any leaks and after 3k mile no change in level. Make sure you had the correct about the first time.

2007 GMC Yukon using a quart of Oil every 2000 - 3000 miles

Sounds funny, I would take it to an indepened repair shop and have them check it out, we have many customer's with Yukon and have not heard of that, I have a GMC with over 315,000 miles and between oil changes, maybe a qts low, have it check else where.

Low to no oil in 2002 Impala. No even 3000 miles.

If you are close to 3000 miles, change oil. Low oil will overheat and change chemically. While under there, take a look around and see where or if oil is leaking anywhere (should not be hard to find) After changing, run and check again while running. Providing you aren't getting a lot of smoke out the back, (burning it) likely you will find a leak, then fix it!
good luck

Oil used in a 1992 Isuzu Rodeo

depends on your temperature, and where you live if it uses a little oil use a little heavier to cut consumption. If it is always cold where you live like below zero, I wouldn't use more than a 20w 30w. in warm climates a 30 weight oil is ok, but if you have low oil pressure you can safely use forty weight.
