A P1120 means a throttle position (TP) sensor out of range. It could be TP circuit with frayed wires, corrosion on TP circuit connectors, or TP sensor loose pins. If you are not knowledgable in this area, I highly recommend that a knowledgable mechanic deal with this issue and may recommend a replacement.

Pulled the motor out of automatic 98 base v6 mustang and put the motor into a standard 98 base v6 mustang and now its not firing, what could be the problem?

Crank sensor, coil, ignition module, Or the distributor, If it has one. This for fire to the spark plugs. Being both were 98's. You could have purchased a bad engine. Check compression.

1999 mustang base v6 noisy rear above 50 mph

check the "u" joints and check that the drive shaft flanges have been properly fitted to the pinion flange or that the "u"joints have been properly fitted into the pinion "ears " of the pinion.. Check that the correct grade of oil was used in the diff and it has the correct amount. New out of the factory diff should not be noisy but if you have a new rebuilt diff then it is possible that the gear mesh is not correct or used gears were used where the best mesh was obtained.

Air bag light stays on 1998 ford mustang

You need to check for codes immediately or just take
to a repair shop, when you get any MIL Lamp on your dash

The air bag light is part of a system called SRS (supplemental
restraint system) there are other items, seat belts, other air bags
in some models & many sensors thru out any vehicle,so your focus
is not on the steering wheel air bag until you retrieve codes

You can not solve this yourself because the codes are manufacture
& require a factory manual or data base counter part, to follow proper testing procedures to a sucessful conclusion

When the light is on, it may be that the air bags will be turned off,
so,you never know if that is the case or you may need them

How do i fix code p1143 on 97 mustang

We are assumin gthat you are talking about DTC P1443 - Evaporative Emission Control System - Vacuum System - Purge Control Solenoid or Purge Control Valve fault.

Best guess without pinpoint testing would be the purge flow sensor. This is the most common failure for this code but can be caused by anything that would limit flow across the sensor when flow is commanded by the PCM restricted cannister, stuck or plugged cannister vent solenoid,etc....

On the base model it is located in the purge line between the carbon cannister and the purge solenoid. See pic below for base model diagram(click HERE for zoom)...

Will airbags from a 1997 mustang work on a 2000 v6 mustang and does it matter if they came from a gt or not

Only 99-02 will work on a 2000, and they show a base model airbag and a GT model airbag.

I have a 1996 Ford Mustang base model V6 and my check engine light suddenly came on, what could be the problem?

The check engine light could be almost anything at this point. The best solution at this time would be to use a code reader to find out exactly what the error code means. If you do not have one you can go to an Autozone and ask them to check it out for you. They will hook up the code reader to your car and diagnose it for FREE in the hopes that you will purchase parts from them to do the repair. If you are handy and it seems like a problem that you can correct, give it a try. If not find out what the error code is and re-post what you find here to get further solutions for the repair. Right now it is too open to too many things and it would be pure speculation without the actual code.

Another alternative would be, once you find what the code means, go to a Firestone type of repair shop that will give you a FREE estimate for the repair (now that you know what it means) and if acceptable, have them do the work. I hope this helps and good luck!
