1995 chevy 350 egr valve problem, i just replaced the new egr valve and it has less proplems now. when the engine is warm after 10 mins of riding, it still has a proplem when slowing down, engine stops. and the truck is parked i put some gas at 2500rpm and sometimes it will lose 500-1000rpm loss and it would go back to 2500rpm after a few seconds. we did changed the distributer cap before this happened thinking it was the distrubuter cap. but do you think it might be the vacuum might be clogged for the egr.

Sounds like to me the catalystic convertor is cloged up or when you changed the egr valve you might have hooked the vacume hose up to the wronge place on the map sensor, AS far as ur question about being clogged , if it was clogged it would give you a check engine light and the code would be egr code. i would check the cat or if you was running the A/C i would check the I.A.C valve on the throttle boddy cause if it sticks from being dirty will cause the truck to speed up and slow down and cause the truck to shut off if bad when the A/C or Defroster is on cause the A/C compressor runs when the defrost is on so i would defently check the IAC Valve if not the cat.

Sounds like a vacume leak to me. Is the mil light on and did you check for codes? When the egr valve sticks open its like a vacume leak because there is exaust entering the intake in place of air and its entering in the wrong place. Not past the mas air senser.

On a 1994 gmc 350 4x4 the vacuum cuming from the egr valve going to a little blak box has no vacuum to it but on the other side goint to the thottl body has vacuum to it

Does the box have an electrical connector? If it does, it would be a solenoid that is commanded by the computer to turn on and send the vacuum signal on from the intake to the egr valve. It would do so when the engine is at normal operating temperature and is accelerated from off idle to higher rpms. The EGR valve would not open at idle, so there would be no vacuum signal to it during idle. If you open the throttle up a bit (with the engine warm) the vacuum signal should be going to the EGR valve.

My 1995 Chevy Blazer will stall out only after it get warm. I recently replaced the fuel pump due to a cracked fuel line. I replaced the fuel filter as well. What else could be causing it to stall out?

Could be a vac leak or a problem with the EGR valve among other things. Fuel pressure regulator comes to mind too.
If you did not use a GM pump I would recheck your fuel pressure.
If you have the vortec engine it takes at least 65psi of fuel pressure to make it run.

If your vehicle has one, and I think it does, check your EGR system. If the egr valve is full of carbon, it can be partially open, creating a vacuum leak. If the egr valve solenoid is bad, it could be opening the valve at the wrong time, also creating a vacuum leak. Unplug the egr vacuum hose, plug the open end of the hose and start it and see what it does. A picture of the egr is below.

it may just need a good tune up, also check the hose from the air filter to the engine, if it has a crack or hole in it then it will be sucking to much air and will cause the engine to labor

Sevice engine soon light comes on due to egr valve on my 1995 Chevy S-10

egr valves start to clog with carbon on the valve and cause -loss of power -hesitation-stalling -hard start -problems u may get lucky by unbolting it and cleaning the egr valve with a carb cleaner and checking the valve seat that it working when u remove it also check the spring [not broken or filled with carbon ]if the unit is unable to be cleaned or repaired replace an egr problem can leave u stuck

Check your main relay. It powers the fuel pump and the ignition system. They are a known problem, with a high failure rate, on the 90-93 accords. I do believe it's worth checking.

Chevy S10 Pick 1995 - Sputters and almost stalls when accelerating.

You could have a dirty EGR valve, you can re move it from the manifold and clean it with Throttle body cleaner. Might as well buy two cans, since your cleaning the EGR, might as well clean out the throttle body too.
Spray the throttle body cleaner in to the throttle body with the engine running and try to keep it at 1000 rpm and then to 1500 rpm as you clean out the throttle body and let it idle down for 2 min then turn the engine off. Then turn the engine to the run position for 10 seconds and start and let idle, ro for a test drive and hope that solved the problem, if not there a few more things we can do which will consist for tune up.
Note: Clean the EGR first so you don't burn your self since the engine would still be cool before you clean the Throttle body.
Good luck and keep me posted.
