Those codes indicate a fault request (0700) and a first-gear incorrect ratio (0731). With what you have already seen and what codes are current, I'd be looking into a new transmission controller. All the evidence points to a tranny controller that's on the fritz and doesn't know what gear to go into, so it's locking the car in first gear to limit speed and potential transmission damage. You can ask a dealer about reprogramming it, as that's something that they may be able to do, but otherwise you'll probably have to replace it.

SOURCE: transmission codes:
I WOULD TRY REPLACING THE INPUT SPEED SENSOR..A DEFECTIVE SPEED SENSOR CAN CAUSE ALL OF THESE FAULTS..IT IS LOCATED IN FRONT OF TRANS ABOVE SOLENOID PACK..IT IS THE ONE CLOSEST TO THE ENGINE..IT SCREWS INTO TO TRANSMISSION..A 1 INCH SOCKET FITS IT..ALSO CHECK WIRING TO BOTH SPEED SENSORS..A SENSOR IS ABOUT 35 BUCKS,AVAILABLE AT YOUR LOCAL DODGE DEALER..GET A NEW ONE AND YOU'LL SEE WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE..FAIRLY COMMON PROBLEM..HAVE REPLACED LOTS OF THEM

Take/Tow your vehicle to an authorized Hyundai dealership and pay the diagnostic fee... they will tell you exactly what the problem is and the cost of parts/labor to fix it... at least this way you'll know what the problem is and what's required to fix it.

all the codes listed above are saying incorrect ratio for each gear,you should take this to a dealer he can determine which faulty sensor on the transmission is causing this,it is not a internal transmission problem

P0733=Gear 3 Incorrect Ratio
P0734=Gear 4 Incorrect Ratio,
your transmission is in "limp" mode,
Have the following sensors checked on the transmission,input sensor,output sensor,and speed sensor.
The transmission is not getting a signal from one of them,So it doesn't know how fast your going so it doesn't up shift.
