not sure where the fuse is for sure either under hood or drivers side under dash, but if the refrigerant gets low as it will over time or if theres a leak the ac clutch will not kick in. even with heat on defrost the ac clutch should kick in and out if ts working proper

2006 2.5L Nissan Altima, A/C was working fine. Had to kick into passing gear on Interstate, kept blowing but no longer cooling. Checked what I could at home. Compressor is def. not coming on when...

Well the car must have a wide open throttle relay that disables the compressor clutch under a load.
it is most likely stuck or not working it most likely gets a signat from the ecm to cut of power to the ac clutch

2004 ford expolorer air conditioning will not stay on

I would suspect the AC compressor cycling switch (located in low pressure line from compressor) or a AC cutoff wide open throttle relay ( in under hood fuse and relay center) would be causing this problem.

Ac is not cool

Lots of probable causes of this...

Fuses, or relays. Or the refrigerant is low and the low pressure switch is preventing it from running, as a safety.

Check the fuses first, but Id also go ahead and turn the AC on and look under the hood while the car is running. Find the AC compressor, and both inner and outer parts should be spinning. If the inner part is not moving, the compressor is not kicking on. Most likely because the AC is low on charge.

Honda Accord 2003 4dr LX - AC does not cool always. The compressor does not kick in every time. When it comes on, it is very cold But otherwise there is no click sound. I got it checked by the mechanic...

Most likely a restriction in the lines causing the compressor to shut down after a breif period of cold air. Check for bad orifice tube or thermal expantion valve.

Fuse diagram for the 2001 jeep cherokee sport 4.0L needed

Believe the AC compressor Relay is located on the left side of the Fuse block inside the passenger kick panel. Exact location is in your owners manual.

Fuel pump relay is inside of the Engine Fuse block under the hood on the passenger side. Locations are written inside of the lid.

Air Conditioning

If you have no power (12v) to the power wire at the A/C compressor clutch and have jumpered all of the switches then you need to check for power coming out of the A/C switch on the dash. Also there might be a pressure switch on the back of the compressor that you can jumper also. You can also check A/C compressor relay in the under hood fuse/relay box. There might be a fuse in the under hood fuse/relay box for the A/C too. Hope this helps.
