-   I have the same issue with a 2002 325i. Under normal conditions, with the a/c on, everything works fine and you get cold air. However, what has been happening recently is that the fan just stops blowing air for some reason. The fan will turn on and off spontaneously, more off than on, but it stays on for a couple minutes at a time. The a/c compressor still appears to be operating because you can hear the load on the engine, and while the fan is on the system is blowing cold air.

There may have been symptoms of this over the past few months, because I noticed that the fan speed had begun fluctuating at times, but it never flat out shut off as it has now.-   Rollin Smith
