Most manufacturers installed mechanisms to prevent siphoning some years back, considering it unsafe and anti-theft deterrents. you will need to drop the fuel tank and manually drain and wash it out. while it's off blow air or flush gas thru the fuel supply line up to the engine. the rest will burn out soon enough.

Thanks. Not exactly the answer we were looking for.......as it seems pretty drastic. This means a tow to someplace that can do it. Is there nothing we can do from home?

not really. that gas will corrupt so many parts if you try to burn it out. and siphoning just isn't going to happen, UNLESS you can remove the filler neck from the tank itself. then you might be able to pump out the gas with an electric or manual pump with the tank in place.
actually it's not that difficult a job. remove the bolts from the filler neck where you put in the gas. support the fuel tank with a floor jack. remove the nuts and/or bolts that hold the straps that hold the tank in place. lower the tank. disconnect the lone wiring connector and the 2 or 3 fuel lines from the assembly on top of the tank. pull the tank out into the open. drain, flush, and reinstall. remember to clear out the fuel supply line up to the engine. even if you have to take it to a shop, the labor to remove and reinstall a gas tank is 1 or 2 hours. it's the cost of replacing the fuel pump assembly (something you don't need to do) that makes that job so costly as that part often costs 2-3 hundred dollars. remember to always have a fire extinguisher handy when working around gasoline....

Is there any way to remove petrol from the fuel tank - petrol put in instead of diesel! Tried syphoning but something's there to block tube from entering all the way.

I am not familiar with the 5-series diesel (not sold here) but I would look for the fuel filter. Is it beneath the car below the driver seat? Try disconnecting it and see if the fuel will siphon out through the fuel line. I know it will on a '2004 3-series gasoline. If it won't siphon, you may need to 'hot wire' the fuel pump to pump the fuel out through the fuel line.

I need to drain gas out of my tank, my daughter put diesel in by mistake, how can i do it? this vehicle has an anti-syphon ball in the tank.

I would try disconnecting the filler hose and see if you can bypass the anti siphon ball by siphoning out of the tank it's self. Most of the time there is a a rubber hose that goes from the filler to the tank its self. If that does not work you may need to remove the gas tank and drain it.

I put five gallons of desil in my tank how do i locate and disconnect fuel line from fuel injector to drain/

You can disconect the fuel line under the vehicle at the fuel filter but your best option is to syphon the gas tank and get as much diesel out as possible. Then fill it up with gasoline. Having a little diesel in a gas system will not hurt anything.

How do i drain out diesel gas that got in my honda accord? how to purge tank?

You can use a siphon. Then put in as much regular gasoline as there was diesel and siphon it again. After that you can fill up with your usual fuel it should be fine.

I but 3gals of gas in my 2008 ford 350 diesel is this going to hurt it, if so how can i fix it , maybe add something to it, i dont hgave alot of money!

Hi:
This sort of falls into the "it depends" answer, but how much diesel was in the tank at the time? The best answer is if you don't have alot of fuel in the tank, then try to siphon all of it out, and then fill the tank up with fresh fuel Even if you have to buy 4 plastic gas cans and a siphon hose, you could **** out 24 gallons of the mixed fuel, and put fresh back in
Regular gas will make a diesel run hot and ping.
Option B is to top off the tank with Diesel and hope for the best....

Daughter put "diesel Fuel" into 2003 ford taurus. What's the best way to drain fuel tank?

the easiest way is to lift the car and unhook the fuel filter and cycle the fuel pump to push it out of the tank. you may have to cycle the key quite a few times to get it out but is easier than dropping the tank to empty it. if you crank the starter for a second the pump will run longer each cycle should get a couple gallons per cycle from the fuel line.

Contaminated fuel

most gas tanks don't have a drain plug.can eith try siphoning it out with a hose called a magic siphoning hose or disconnect the fuel line and put the line in a container to catch the bad gas.

other option is to drop the fuel tank and empty
