SOURCE: vw lt46 1998 would it damage valves if timing belt

yes it will and most likely put a hole in the piston and snap the cam shaft if the engine is doing any more than idle speed, if it breaks at idle you may be lucky and just get away with a few bent valves but if im honest ive never seen anyone be lucky with one the normaly require a new engine. also worth changing the water pump at the same time as these do seize and will snap the new cam belt ! the only belt you can get away with leaving is the pump belt if this breaks no damage is caused the engine will just cut out ! however you will need to pretty much remove it after fitting a cambelt to set the timing so its pretty pointless no to change it

Where can i find a citreon minuet camper 1.9 manual 2000 thanks

Camper vans and caravanettes are converted vehicles and mostly there are no manuals available for such vehicles.

The coachbuilder who converted the vehicle will produce a manual for the caravan features, fixtures and fittings but for the base vehicle the original vehicle handbook or repair manual should be used.

Very few vehicle manufacturers produce special versions of their vehicles and it is left to independent coachbuilders to produce such vehicles.
In the case of campers and caravanettes the coachbuilder will use many commercially available standard items such as water heater, hob and oven, water pumps, shower and toilet and electrical installation, each one of which will be supplied with an instruction manual.
Accompanying the finished vehicle will typically be a folder which includes all those instruction manuals and a further manual covering the caravan parts of the conversion or a single manual that is produced by the coachbuilder which contains an abridged version of each of those other manuals.

When buying a converted vehicle, especially if it is a top price deal, it is important to have all the original information as it is very difficult to replace or duplicate.

Finally, the name given to the converted vehicle by the coachbuilder usually bears little or no resemblance to the name and model of the base vehicle.

I hope this helps a little.

Should we purchase a new Mercedes Sprinter van?

service for these will not be hard to find as well as parts. if your buying new then anything major will be covered under warranty. for simple maintenance things like oil changes, brakes, tires you don`t have to go to a dealer. many independent shops with a reputation for quality repairs will have no problem working on it.

VW camper van LT46. Flashing light on dashboard. Orange light with a circle in the middle. It came on after the battery had been changed

First check your manual, it looks like a brake symbol, but I am not sure.
The best thing ask the dealer, they should not charge for this.

I wired my 1994 van for my camper lights so i could pull my camper. but as soon as i turn the key on.my tail lights come on and won't go off until i turn the key back off

If your van was equipped with a trailer/camper adapter or not, the left turn signal connection is LT GRN/ORG; the right turn signal connection is ORG/LT BLU; the marker lamps connection is BRN, and the stop lamp connection is LT GRN
