Possibly going to run down your battery overnight, need to disconnect the fuse or find the wires melted together and seperate them.

Reset timing belt light 2005 hilux diesel 4x4

Its real simple all you do is before you turn the key on hold the odometer button in and turn the key but don't start the engine and keep holding the button for 10 ten seconds then lift your finger off the button and the number 1 should come up now this number represents 10,000 K's so what you do is keep pushing the button until you reach the desired K's you want you can go up to 20 = 200,000 K's and then you hold the button in for another 10 seconds then let go and turn the key off and turn it back on and it should be gone.

2000 dodge caravan just stopped running while i was driving. it keeps blowing the 4th 20 amp fuse counting down from the rear of the fuse block. when you use a jumper wire to bypass the fuse the van runs....

If it is like the 2000 Neon it is power to the computer and without it the vehicle won't run. That hard part will be finding the reason it is blowing because if you bypass it with a straight wire you take a chance on burning the vehicle computer out. My problem turned out to be the Alarm power wire coming free from where it had been attached at the rear of the fuse panel and brushing up against that position and causing the fuse to blow.

Security light blinks car won't start disconnected the battery used a different key still won't start

need to reprogram the security system. turn the key to start position then to run . let the key stay on until the light stops flashing. repeat these steps 3 times then the car should start if there is not a problem with the pass-lock sensor in the ignition switch or the BCM( body control module).

My 99 windstar ran out of gas, or close to it. I put 4 gallons in and it will crank but won't start. I shot some carb spray into the air filter housing, but still won't start. It started for a...

To start with, stop using the spray because this is not good for a fuel injected vehicle and you can cause damage to the valves if you continue to do so. Carbs were different in the old days. OK, you may have just caused the fuel pump to try and work a little harder due to being out of gas. There is a fuel cut off switch that will "pop" if you are in an accident or there is an electrical overload. that switch is located in the cargo area od the vehicle. below is a picture of its location for you and the button is on top. Just push it in. If it is "pooped" you will be able to tell for sure when you push it in. Also you may want to check the fuse for the fuel pump motor itself. that fuse is located in the fuse panel under the hood of the vehicle in the engine compartment. The fuse is located in the number 5 position and should be a 15 amp fuse (diagram of fuse layout below). And last is to check the fuel pump relay as well. the relay is located in that same fuse panel and is in the number 207 position. You can check if it is engaging by putting your finger on it and having someone tur the key just to the "on"position (no need to turn the vehicle over as it will engage for 3 - 5 seconds when the key is turned on). You will feel it "click" if it does with your finger. One other thing is if any of these are the problem, you should first prime the fuel system before trying to start the vehicle. this is done by again turning the vehicle key to the "on" position only, wait for 3 - 5 seconds then to the off positiom, turn the key back to the "on" position agian for the same amount of time. Do this several times so the fuel system will build back pressure before trying to start the vehicle. OK, I'm done. I hope this helps and you get going again. Good luck.

My 02' mdx won't come out of park, keep blowing a 20 amp fuse. This fuse controls the Cruise, break lights, memory seat, horn and linkage. I have to manually delink. I have unhooked the comand...

Here is an idea, when do you blow the fuse key on, key on engine running, key on engine running hitting the break pedal? Try and get the key on without blowing fuse if possible, then one at a time try those circuit loads ie: horn, brake pedal and so on, if you isolate which load is pulling to many amps(blowing fuse) unplug that load itself, then restart testing, see if fuse stays ok. You can also substitue the fuse with a circuit breaker and unplug each load until click(of breaker) stops.

Lots of owners have a problem with this. I have found several answers for people to try before going to the dealer and getting the answer I got which was," It's all gunked up under there- it'l be $768- can't really tell ya what it is."
Most popular answer #1 There is a small plug under the steering colloum, remove it, slide a small screwdriver up the hole to hit a button that will allow you to finish turning the key and pull it out. #2 Raise and lower the steering wheel all the way up and down a couple of times stopping at the lowest position- sometimes the key will turn and remove. #3 There have been reports of the huge wiring harness assembly located under the drivers side seat has either gotten wet/damp/wire loosened by backseat passengers foot/or a wire under the drivers side carpet leading to the harness is broken from being stepped on. #4 Check the fuses under the dash on drivers side #s 40, 42, 44 There has also been a recall on certain serial #s to replace the lock cylinder. And one report of an owner removing the prawl located on the colloum by the key cylinder. as always caution must be used when ever you open up a job. Extra caution here due to working in the area of the airbag- AFTER trying all the above, it is time to either live with it,(I can leave the key in the on position for an hour and a half), Come back an hour later and simply finish turning the key to the full off position- it will then remove, OR when you park it at nite, put it on a trickle charge. OR take it to the dealer who will attempt to replace the most expensive part first, then work his way down in the parts list until he finds something that works.
