Try Auto Zone, their duralast plus are the best in the world, they spent over a $million onresearch and patent rights for this battery, more cells and better materials,in the same size case as from the factory, for long lasting charges for your car, better warranties and longer years.

Replace the starter in a 2004 Hyundai Elantra

first you need to disconnect one battery terminal, then you jack up the car high enough for you to work under 2 1/2 feet is good use jack stands to keep it safe, or something equal.now you will find the starter in the back side of the engine up towards the transmission two bolts hold it down and one small electrical connection that pulls out by hand and another you have to unscrew. once you get it out reverse install.

After accidentally putting a battery in backwards, inside lights, radio and keyless entry does not work. Dials go to 12 o'clock then normal when first starting car. Hyundai Elantra 2004

Check your fuses. You may have fried your fuse box when you hooked the battery up backwards. Try looking for blown fuses, burnt wires, and your battery may have been affected too. Test your battery with a volt meter or take it to your local auto parts store to test.

I have a 2004 Hyundai elantra. When driving all my gauges turn off including my odometer and speedometer. My car loses power and the automatic trans. has trouble shifting. My battery completely dies,...

I am having the same problem with my 2004 Elantra. I have had the alternator tested twice and did replace the battery. This morning I had it running ad put a volt meter on it ( red to the battery pos black to the engine block) I did get a reading of 14 volts for about 30 seconds then the idle lowered and the voltage dropped to 12 volts. I tried this again later but could not get a voltage reading above 12 volts with the motor running. Any suggestions?

How to replace 2004 Hyundai Elantra starter

First, disconnect the battery. Then the only part that needs to be removed to access the starter is the rubber air plenum boot between the throttle body and the air filter housing. This allows enough room to get an arm in there to access the 14mm bolts that attach the starter to the transmission. After removing the bolts, the starter can be removed from underneath the car. lower it down as much as possible, and unbolt the power cable. You may have to twist and turn it a bit to get around the support between the engine block and intake manifold, but it will come out.

How to replace head light cover on a 2004 elantra.I need to clean them and I might have to relpace them.

You need to open the hood (well, yeah!) then unscrew the light cover from the inside with you fingers, unclick the retaining metal wire that holds the bulb in place. replace the lightbulb (careful not to touch the glass part with your hands. If it gets dirty, it will burn faster) re-clip it in place and screw back the plastic cover. Now, if it is on the driver's side, you'll have to remove the battery first to reach in.

2004 elantra heater control only operates at #4 setting

If # 4 is the highest fan setting it might be the resistor pack that controls the fan speeds. For each speed increase the fan switch takes a resistor out of the resistor loop The highest speed is a direct connection to the battery. The switch is usually located very close to the fan since it gets quite hot and needs to be cooled by the fan.It is also generaly accessible from under the hood, but not always.Sometimes it is under the dash Hope this helps.
