Question about 1996 Chevrolet Blazer

1 Answer

Is ther a book or a web page that gives me step by step directions on putting a 4.3 vortec back together i need it to even tell me what bolts go where. Its been a nightmare i bought a blazer 2 years ago. Its been siting for over a year. Problem after problem the head gasket blew on it and we didnt have the money to bring it in. I never did anything like taring a engine apart and a freind suggested we do it in the back yard. Like an idiot i did this. We go it apart then it started raining so i took every out of order and stored it inside the blazer. basicly i screwd up but im willing to put the time into it I just need a step by step on what goes where if you can help it would be greatly appreciated thanks

You are unable to match cylinders to their components, the wear patterns will not match and it will blow up. look for marking numbers on the components like on the pistons and such

Can anyone give me step by step instruction how to replace my alternater on my 1994 Camaro if not where can I find such help. I have never worked on a car before but I know I can do this with some good...

u can good directions from the camaro book at your local autozone, or to save some money listen up, unhook positive battery cable. then unhook two electrical hookups to alternator, one is just a clip u undo n the other is a bolt on backside of alternator. now u have to loosen belt by using a large wrench for example, n put pressure on tension pulley pushing it dow so u can slip belt off of other pulleys.then unbolt remaining bolts, just 2 in front. pull out old and put in new n work these steps backwards.

98 4 cyl isuzu rodeo timing belt

My sincere apologies for the severly delayed response.
I am personally going back to answer your unanswered questions. I have only been on this site for the past 4-months as a free contributor.

I do not know if you still need this information, however I am answering it in case you still do.

Click on the following direct Link. It has several Diagrams for your 1998 Isuzu RodeoTiming Belt. Included are step-by-step reagrding how to tighten it. There are also Photo's.

As far as how to install: It would take literally dozens and dozens of Pages using this type of forum on the Step-by-Step Procedures on Installion and Putting back the Engine together; including Torque Specifications of all Bolts and Nuts. I would strongly suggest purchasing a Haynes or Chilton's Manual, available at most auto parts store for $20-$25. They have the complete guidelines, diagrams, and phots you will need.

Again my apologies...
Let me know if this helped, or if you have additional information or questions. Feel Free to contact me at FixYa.com!

I need the torque specs and sequence on a 1998 chevy 350 vortec

Vortecs are a little different that old school small blocks, grab a Haynes or Chiltons, the cross patterns and specs are simply diagramed. Vortec, as any really, start with 25# then 45# and then final torque which I believe is around 70-75# but to be sure verify with the manual. AutoZones, Murry's, Adavance auto all carry the books, Cheap insurance.
