Check your wheel speed sensors. and vehicle speed sensor on the transmission

drive 4 uses it to sense slip in the front/rear wheels.

check engine light on because it needs to know vehicle speed to shift properly.

no speedometer because it turns the voltage into a signal to the gauge

2002 Chevrolet Blazer won't accelerate past 30mph

A flashing check engine light means the engine is misfiring. This flashing light will eventually set a code in the low 300's. When you get the code it will tell you which cylinder. If you get a straight 300 it means multiple misfires. Right now if the light is only flashing, check the secondary ignition for loss of integrity. It's more than likely there. I hope this helps.

Loss of power and sputtering during acceleration until ready to shift into next gear. 2.2 engine. No check engine light. Seems to run fine until under power. Changed fuel filter but no help.

Sounds like you have a fuel pump problem, sometimes when they are defective it just does'nt quit it will not produce the pressure needed to get the fuel to the injection system when accelerating.

Check the battery connections on the positive post. I have a 96 Caddilac Deville and had simuliar issues. On alot if GM cars a dual booted connectors are installed on the positive/red side of the battery. Over time and battery replacements the connections wear out or become less effective causing voltage issuses in the ECM thus createing troubles through out. I removed both boots and and direct connected both leads. No more speedometer issues.

Aternator warning lamp flashing with loss of

Try charging the battery overnight, start the engine and measure the battery voltage. It should read 13.5 to 14.5 volts DC. If it reads 12.6 volts, the alternator has quit supplying energy. Take the car to your favorite auto parts supply store and have them test the alternator right on the car. They usually do this for free as they hope to sell you a replacement part.
