There is a silicone adhesive like what is used for the windshield and rear window. This works excellent to hold on the door seals.

I have a golf 5, my rear right door doesn't lock.....all other 3 doors would lock.....

it could be the lock solenoid. if you can lock manually. then it would be this. but there is 2 ways it could have stopped working one is the solenoid is warn out other is the wires in the B post to the door in the rubber shield have snapped. on some occasions it could even be the plastic clip that holds the rod on the solenoid has come off, this would make the pin fall out and the central locking will not work only manual, and even in some cases the manual will not work if its come off at other end of the pin. usually slamming the door does this.

Grand marquis air conditioning

It could be as simple as a bad vacumn line. Those doors are controlled by vacumn from the engine. The engine heat sometimes deteriorate the rubber and they crack or fall off. See if you can find a bad or broken vacumn line will be going toward the firewall.

How do i remove the door handle from a 1994v mercedes c-class?

Next to the door handle, pull back door rubber there is a small hole, you will need a long amen key. Undo the bolt but not to much as it will fall inside door, the rear lug of the handle will now come out, then the handle will slide backwards. The lock behind is now free to be removed.

Steps to replace right hand side door internal window seal

I believe your car has a full frame windows? If that is correct then are you talking about the rubber the window glass slides up and down in? If so, then you have to remove the inner door panel and might be helpful if you have power windows remove the power window switch from the inner panel and reconnect to wiring harness. Using this technique, there are 2 10mm bolts holding the window glass to the regulator. Position the glass with the 10mm bolts through a couple sight holes, remove the 10mm bolts but hold on to the glass so it doesn't fall in the door and break. install the rubber window channel and reverse procedure.

I have a 1997 Nissan Pathfinder. Tonight I went out to a movie and upon exiting my vehicle noticed my brake lights were on. I opened my door and pulled back on the brake pedal, for a second they turned off...

Climb under the dash and look on the back of the brake pedal, brakelight switch will be on the back of the brake pedal arm halfway up the arm.

Look around in the floorboard and look for some fragments of rubber. If you see some fragments of rubber then the little piece of rubber that is attached to the back of the brake arm has probably fallen off. If the rubber piece breaks and falls off then the brakelight switch will stay on because it will be touching bare metal and grounding the switch making it stay on all the time.

And that seems to make sense because when you pulled back on the pedal the brakelights went
off. Because you pulled the pedal back until it was not making contact with the switch anymore.

And the tach problem is unrelated. And im not sure about whats wrong with the tachometer. But I would suspect the vehicle speed sensor is faulty.

Rear door window will not stay up

There will be 5 to 7 screw that are only visable with the door open. You must take all of them out, and then pull the rubber trim that touches the outside of the window up. Be carefull...the door panel will want to fall off if you are not careful. The problem may be a small plastic piece that slides in the rail hooked to the bottom of the window. I replaced one for about $10, and it was readily available at my local dealership.

Yes. I have fixed my driver side window several times. The window went all the way down and came off the track, usually because the window automatically went all the way down. The first step was to take the interior side of the door off: (1) I unscrewed the screws around the door and pull the plastic screws out. (2) I disconnected the thin metal rod that connects the door handle to the door frame to be able to pull the interior part of the door away from the metal frame of the door. (3) I unscrewed the speaker to see where the window meets the rubber track. (4) I kept the electrical wires connected so that I could use the electric window button to lower and raise the window. (5) I lowered the window down below the rubber track and loosened the screw holding the rubber track to the door. (6) I manually adjusted the rubber track around the window glass and pressed the electric window button up slowly, making sure the glass stayed on the track. (7) I put everything back in place, screwed in the screws, etc. Be careful not to let the window go all the way down, because it seems to fall off the track at that point. Hope this helps!
